Benson Siamundyoli from Mujuku village, Zambia, is one of the few kankobela players still left. The kankobela is the thumb-piano of the Batonga people, who live in the Zambezi Valley in Zambia and Zimbabwe on both sides of Lake Kariba. Benson is featured with two tracks on the cd 'The Kankobela of the Batonga Vol. 1' (SWP 036), recorded by Michael Baird 2008, including this song 'Njokolai', which you can buy via www.swp-records... and downloadable via swp-records.ba... . Video by Rogier Kappers and Boudewijn Koole.
