@@tomking7080 you’re in an insulated bubble if those are your sources of information. You will never receive an honest critique about the mechanisms of power that manipulate and use you, that is a critique about capital and the oligarchs that benefit from the current arrangement. You will only hear criticisms of the plutocrats (politicians) in the oligarchs control, and individual actors or agencies, but not the oligarchs or the system (constitution), and the issue will always be presented to you as a failure of those politicians and agencies, and not the mechanisms of finance and war and private property established by the oligarchy and their capital. Your sources will never reinforce an honest critique of the system (constitution) they’ve benefited from so immensely. Our state was not formed to protect people, it was formed to protect the interests of capital, the entire constitution enshrined the rights of capital, not individuals. The bill of rights was added years later and the core rights it is supposed to guarantee have been severely eroded, because this country wasn’t established or built for its people at large. The US constitution is the problem and people don’t even realize it, because they haven’t read it, and likely couldn’t understand a lot of it even if they tried, because the oligarchs don’t want people to be able to read, so they bucked education and literacy rates have become abysmal. And they made sure to have our children swear allegiance every morning for 12 years. And recruit them for war from the cafeteria before they can understand the game that is being played. I challenge you to find a single time any of those sources have themselves expressed anti-constitutional sentiment in regard to the modern republics that have been formed worldwide around the power of capital (capitalism/liberalism). Find just one. After attempting to do so, come to the realization that you are STILL being deceived.

Shawn, whether or not you read/see this; as a first generation American-Afghan, it’s truly heartwarming and a relief to see this interview take place. I’ve never commented on any video before but am proud to make this one as it’s one that brought tears. Afghanistan and its people are unlike any, esp. compared to its neighbors. As a long time listener, it’s so gratifying to witness the support of fellow Americans to understanding the true nature/spirit of the Afghan people. The pain the diaspora felt in August 2021, was a pain of the heart. The pain of knowing you were lucky to have made it out, only to see the children who weren’t fortunate enough, suffer is one of the gut wrenching feelings of helplessness. Hearing Cmdr. Ahmad Massoud describe the pain of the people in country, was head on. Thank you Shawn, for sharing our story, caring to understand, and for listening. Afghanistan and Afghans are wildly misunderstood. Thank you for giving a glimpse inside the hearts of a world that exists only in the memory our parents know, that of a country that once was. I just hope everyone who watches this sees the same. God bless

No we don't. American service members didn't abandon anybody, brandon did. American service members don't make policies, P.O.S. politicians do. What did you want them to do.....stay? Well you're in luck because a lot did, and went back. I'm not a Veteran either and I'm also a Patriot. I think we need to put the blame where it belongs, right in brandon's lap. American service members do not own an apology to the Afghan people, brandon does. But the sentiment of wanting to take that responsibility shows the honor and character of Men like Shawn. He is the kind of American that makes me truly proud to be American. I just don't think that we owe an apology, that P.O.S. brandon does. A little side note that kinda just popped in my head, I can just imagine what those offspring of the devil terrorists are saying to all the other terrorists in the making..."look we made the Americans apologize". I'm not taking about the Commander. I'm taking about taliban and isis and alqueda

The thousands of men and women who endured a lot of tribulations in Afghanistan surely never anticipated an exfil like we witnessed, and surely wish peace and prosperity for the people of Afghanistan. @@brandonrowland819IT WAS DONALD TRUMP THAT NEGOTIATED THE FATE OF THE COUNTRY OF AFGHANISTAN WITHOUT INCLUDING THE GOVERNMENT THAT WE FOUGHT FOR DECADES TO BUILD & SUPPORT! IT WAS TRUMP WHO REDUCED FORCES TO 2500 & SIMULTANEOUSLY FREED 5000 TALIBAN SOLDIERS. THE EXACT SOLDIERS THAT KILLED SO MANY AMERICAN HEROS. IT WAS TRUMP WHO SET & AGREED TO A PREMATURE DATE TO WITHDRAW. IT WAS REPUB SENATORS THAT WERE PLAYING POLITICS INSTEAD OF KEEPING THE MILITARY’S INTEREST IN THE FOREFRONT BY NOT CONFIRMING A DEFENSE SECRETARY WHO IS VITAL FOR A WITHDRAW AS THIS. THE WITHDRAW HAPPENED ONLY WEEKS AFTER A DS WAS CONFIRMED. BIDEN HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH ANY OF THE DETAILS. BIDEN HAD NO ROLE WHATSOEVER IN SURRENDERING THE ENTIRE COUNTRY OF AFGHANISTAN TO THE EXACT ENEMY WE FOUGHT TO KEEP IT FROM. THE WITHDRAW WAS HORRIBLE ALL THE WAY AROUND. BIDEN WAS GIVEN A SHIT SANDWICH & FORCED TO EAT IT WITH BOTH HANDS TIED BEHIND HIS BACK. THIS IS ALL FACT & I ENCOURAGE U TO DO SOME RESEARCH TO VERIFY ALL OF IT. THE CRAZY PART IS THAT BIDEN PUBLICLY SAID HE WAS TO BLAME FIR THE WHOLE THING BC HE HAPPENS TO BE AN HONORABLE PERSON & KNOWS THE BUCK STOPPED WITH HIM. HE DIDNT MENTION TRUMP AT ALL. IMAGINE TRUMP NOT BLAMING SOMEONE ELSE FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS. IVE ALWAYS LIKED SHAWN, BUT I CANT HELP BUT THINK THAT THERES A REASON TRUMPS NAME WASNT MENTIONED AT ALL WHEN THE COMMANDER WAS TALKING ABT HOW THE TALIBAN DIDNT HAVE TO GIVE UP, MEET CONDITIONS, OR DO ANYTHING AT ALL TO BE GIVEN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY OF AFGHANISTAN ON A SILVER PLATTER. ALTHO JB IS HONORABLE ENOUGH TO SHOULDER THE BLAME FOR HIS PREDECESSORS TOTAL LACK OF NEGOTIATING ABILITY, I THINK ITS VERY IMPORTANT TO PUT THE BLAME EXACTLY WHERE IT BELONGS. TRUMP SURRENDERED DECADES OF AMERICAN BLOOD, TREASURE, MILITARY STRATEGY & AMERICAN DIGNITY TO THE EXACT PPL WE FOUGHT SO LONG TO KEEP IT FROM. BLAME BIDEN FOR THE WITHDRAW ITSELF, THO NOT COMPLETELY TRUE ITS NOT COMPLETELY WRONG EITHER. BUT THE ONLY REASON WE WERE IN THAT POSITION IN THE FIRST PLACE IS BC OF TRUMPS INCOMPETENCE & LACK OF LOYALTY TO THE SOLDIERS THAT FOUGHT SO HARD FOR HIM TO SIMPLY GIVE IT ALL AWAY TO THE ENEMY. I HOPE U UNDERSTAND WHY ITS IMPORTANT TO KNOW THESE DETAILS THAT I FEEL WERE INTENTIONALLY LEFT OUT IF THIS INTERVIEW. Makes u wonder why Trump negotiated the fate of Afghanistan with the enemy w/o including the Afghan govt we sacrificed so much to create. Makes u wonder why Trump CUT US forced to 2500 troops WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY RELEASING 5000 TALIBAN SOLDIERS! Trump surrendered to the EXACT ppl who had killed so many US troops. He LITERALLY handed the entire country of Afghanistan to the very enemy our boys sacrificed so much fighting against. It was DT that set the unrealistic withdraw date that Biden was forced to abide by. It was Republican senators that would not confirm a defense Secretary to help facilitate such a monumental task as a complete withdraw. Biden put the blame on HIMSELF publicly without even MENTIONING trump bc he not a coward & knows what honor is. Imagine trump NOT blaming anything & everything BUT himself if he was handed a shit sandwich & forced to eat it with his hands tied behind his back. If ur not familiar with the details I’ve mentioned, PLEASE do some research as I promise u it’s all easily verifiable. The withdraw was HORRIBLE & shameful but it WAS facilitated & negotiated by Trump. HE is the ONLY one responsible for surrendering a decades long war effort to the enemies we fought the war against. BE VERY CLEAR ABT THAT!💯

I was thinking the same thing, too. Here's what I wrote to someone else: "30:42 -- Wait a minute. I had to listen to this part again to make sure I heard this right. So let me get this straight ..... $40M to $80M going to the Afghanistan region. Another $4B (or possibly even more) going to Ukraine. On top of that I think I've heard from elsewhere that some (unconfirmed), undisclosed sum of money is going to one of the African continent Nations, too 😠. All of this 💵 going out of the U.S. border and U.S. coffers. No receipts. No show for exactly WHAT that 💸 is B N used 4. No agreement in place to get any of that largent, back. Am I hearing that correctly? Well hell..... No wonder everybody comes to us looking for $$. Everybody knows that we're probably the only country on the planet that's gullible (or dumb) enough to just give out FREE money..... hand over fist. Over and above the interests of our own citizens. God, Shawn. That had to hurt sitting there hearing that😢😢. It pains me for you just to hear it for myself. I hope he understands that all this money that's ( 💸 ) free flowing out of U.S. hands is NOT information that was shared with the American people. We were never told about any of this ahead of time nor, were we in general ever briefed about the financial arrangements of these deals. 🎶 "Is anybody there. Does anybody, care" 🎶. Meanwhile.....we allow homelessness, hunger, high prices, and 'food deserts' to appear. Not to mention crime, social problems in schools to proliferate. Here in this country we've watched churches / religion, education, and almost suffered the collapse of our own gov't. Yet, we are willing to pay out the 'wazoo' to buoy and prop up other nations that won't B able to pay us back until the '12th of Never'. Tell me I'm wrong 😢".
