I always like how you get directly to the point. Your videos are very efficient, and I never have to wade through a bunch of talk to get to the stuff I need to hear.

I'm glad I am not the only one that thinks not being able to place a target at specific co ordinates on any planet is utterly stupid , Earned yourself another sub Exigeous even though i'm still a noob on elite having only about 300 hours game time your video are excellent

It really is absurd that in 1000 years we don't have the basic features we have in 2018. Elite Dangerous 3.0 Beyond:Abusrd, Beyond:Grind, Beyond:Bugs

I just got the game recently and whenever I try to land on a planet I somehow always end up on the exact opposite side of where I need to be. Hopefully this helps.

yea planet landing at specific co ords is still absolutely cancer too this day

I use EDISON, it has an overlay that tells you which heading to go to. Dead easy. This ability should be in the game though.
@Exigeous6 жыл бұрын
Agreed it should be included and I have this on the list for my "15 more utilities" video.

How do you get that top compass or what ever that is!
@commandericeman85883 жыл бұрын
Yeah I'm still a noob and haven't done much in the way of planetary landings and missions involving the SRV thus I have forgotten how to scan a data point.

A little late to the party but I wonder what the 3rd party tool is that displays p/r/y and vert/lat, along with boost, thrust, etc.? Anyone... Anyone...
@Exigeous6 жыл бұрын
Do you mean the red/blue overlay that I use on my stream? That's a custom skin for GamePadViewer.com - and yes, I'm working on a video for it.

I've been to Dav's hope thrice and scanned the beacon. It still won't show on the planetary map. Making me do the whole navigation thing all over again. It's really annoying. Is it cause of a bug or an I doing something wrong?
@josa3106 жыл бұрын
I'm afraid it is a bug
@MrMaurice56 жыл бұрын
I thought I was going to have to do the same thing. Fear not! It doesn't show on a planetary map but it does show up as a nav point when you get in the vicinity of the planet it's on.
@K1eaner6 жыл бұрын
Excellent, didn't think of checking it in the nav panel. Over 500hrs into the game and I'm still a noob....
@84NZ416 жыл бұрын
what do you mean you "scanned the beacon"? you mean those communication terminals to get the story of dav's hope or the lone datapoint, because non of those will mark the settlement as discovered... there's no bug, there's no marker either. never was...

Cheers mate. You're only three days late to the answer. But, valiant effort. Good luck in the dark.

Initially I was of the same opinion, it took me 3 or 4 viewings to figure out what he's saying. The key is to look underneath the altimeter, you'll see there's 2 sets of numbers. Those are the latitude and longitude. In the video he says he's looking for -3.7 by 73.4. So do the 'flip it on it's side and set a heading for 0 degrees'. Do this until the first number below the altimeter is -3.7, then quickly pitch to 90 degrees and head straight until the bottom number is 73.4. Fine tuning will be required but that's the gist of it. Still way, way, overly complicated!
