It's a shame I didn't have this at the start of the game, it's this kind of thing that is needed in game for new players this is something that becomes critical after your first few steps in the game

Honestly I did this one as outfitting nearly ended the game for me. I was so frustrated I finally jumped into Discord and started asking questions. 5 hours later MBoffin and Metrac had explained it to me and saved the game for me, happy to repay that to others.

Another great video! Got to test my Open Type 7 trader yesterday. Someone tried to interdict me. Told me to cut my engines and that I was under arrest. I submitted to the interdiction, locked my previous selected system, deployed chaff, spooled up my fsd and barely made it out. He stripped my shields almost immediately and brought my thrusters down to 15%! Maybe he'll get me next time...

This is true. I cannot figure out how to re-outfit my ships after the Odyssey update. Old procedure: Select a slot, pick source (store or storage), then select and confirm new component. How do you do it now because that procedure doesn't work?

Awesome video I only just started watching your stuff but this stuff is great for people that don’t have the time to study the game for themselves. Have you thought about doing a basic BGS video? I think it will help people realize what they are doing to systems when running missions in and out of them. Hopefully in the process get more people interested in running BGS like the player groups/factions on the galaxy. There is just so much depth to Elite and your videos have done a lot to combat that. To all the people complaining that commander exigeous goes through things too quickly - slow the video down in KZbin to 50%. It’s much easier aside to follow when starting out.

Sure - or watch as I intend as pause and rewind. I would always prefer to have viewers rewind than be bored to death with a long video and have to fast forward and skip around. I absolutely hate that and as such will always be as succinct and brief as possible while providing all the necessary details :D

Thermal weapon types are best for shield damage and kinetic are best for hull and module damage Some weapons do both like the guardian plasma charger which is awesome

Sorry, the URL shortener I used changed, breaking all my links. I'll try to go through very soon and fix them all. Reply with which ship you'd like me to share a build for and I'll hook you up. As for starting/stopping if you mean pausing - well with my videos that's how I expect you to "use" them. I make them as absolutely short as possible, not repeating things, so you can watch less and play more. If you want someone super long winded who will waste your time there are plenty of channels that will give you that - but this isn't one :D

Honestly no, as that's the whole point of my channel. If you want someone to be slow and drone on and on there are many channels that will fit that. If you want, clear, concise and to the point that's why you're here. I'd much rather have someone need to rewind, pause or rewatch rather than need to constantly fast forward to find the one thing they are looking for. It's just who I am and why I started the channel, I do appreciate you taking the time to share feedback though.

Totally depends on the ship/build but I use rails far more often. F rated would be for weapons and varies from weapon to weapon and size to size, that's why I say you can just ignore that.

Ok I see my problem. I’m trying to run a “One ship fits all type deal”. An ASP Explorer designed for exploration, with cargo racks stored for transport, and outfitted for combat. Clearly I’m doing something wrong here when I could just prioritize certain ships to take care of those roles for me 😂😂😂😂

You just hit the nail on the head - don't try to make a ship do what it isn't designed for. And while I've seen a few badass engineered AspX builds it just isn't a combat ship (sorta in the name). If you're looking for small class awesome combat look no further than the Vulture.

You can slow the video playback within KZbin if you so wish. I find them a little quick myself too but slow it down to half speed and it’s way better. The audio gets a little weird though..!

1 - this great guide is out-dated now in 2020 : shield cell banks grade A are 14% BETTER than grade B, so the info here is wrong now. Turrets work way better in big-mama ships, in solo-play, in PVE, especially when are settled for "auto-fire" ; they enjoy the best fire arc, and, most important, will shred that nasty NPC setting in ur ass; I use at least a pair of turrets in my Conda , Cutter and Vettte, usually for the smaller hard points, with MC and corrosive mod; The rest are gimbals, I am not that good to use fixed on big ass ships, when most of the time you fight smaller and very agile NPCs.
