As much as I did think his debut was a mixed bag, I do give him a lot of respect to do what he wants outside of Slipknot and Stone Sour. Those two bands are separate in themselves musically and Corey's ambition and ideas were there for his own stuff as his passion for other genres and more music making is consistent. I don't personally think it would be something I'd listen to a lot in his new path though. Any musician can accept creative freedom and that's what I'm happy with for anyone to do with a different form of music. Some experiments work, some don't, but it's always down to opinions obviously.

Corey Taylor should just stick with Slipknot and Stone Sour. Regardless of what people think about those bands, his talent as a vocalist is much better showcased there. Here, he feels like an out of touch old man who’s trying way too hard to appeal to the younger crowd. I haven’t given either of his solo albums a listen but I’ll probably listen to them for laughs.

@@masterknife8423 i feel you, Slipknot has become a joke (just a bunch of overpaid boomers wearing masks trying to sound heavy for two songs and the rest is filler garbage, with corey's horrible vocals) and corey and clown are the main reason for this. absolutely love the early stuff but hearing the last two albums made me lose all hope and interest in this shitty band. stated getting into other bands i may have passed on and i'm glad i did, Slipknot died with Paul/Joey RIP and how they keep booting out the rest of the members is sad.

Couldn’t disagree more man. As many shows and concerts as I’ve been to in my life I can say Corey Taylor was as popular at rocklahoma and aftershock as anyone playing and got the best reaction from the crowd as any band playing. Post traumatic blues is a banger as well. They’re pretty damn good and put on a hell of a show. The musicians playing in their band (especially guitar and bass) are FAR beyond anything slipknot has ever had. Maybe not in the drums department but guitar and bass is not even close on who’s better (slipknot or CMF).
