I had my mom listen to Lukas sing some of Willie's songs and she couldn't tell who was singing she thought that it was Willie when he was younger. I apsolutely love to hear this young man sing. He is so incredibly talented in his own right.

It's publicity and name recognition. Why did Cassadee Pope go on 'The Voice'? She had already been a signed artist with 3 albums with her band "Hey Monday" and 1 solo album (EP). She did several tours US and world tours with her band, including the Warped Tour and opening for Fall Out Boy throughout their US and World Tour. She released her solo EP and went on a solo tour a couple months before auditioning for the 'The Voice'.

I discovered Lukas a couple of years ago when I saw him perform on a Farm Aid with his Dad and brother. Since then I’ve listened to his past stuff and everything new he does. He’s got it.
