At the age of 15 I became a CNA student. At that point, I could not speak a single word in English. Now, at the age of 28 I am finishing my bachelor abroad which is entirely taught in English. This is partly because of CNA. Thank you CNA and congratulations for such an awesome and beautiful win-win initiative.

This is great. I used to be a Hospice volunteer and simply met with elderly patients to talk with them and listen to their stories once a week. Nursing homes are really difficult to live in as the staff are exhausted or management is bad. Borden homes and retirement living places are a little bit easier on the elderly, but it still gets lonely. It's very rewarding and a great learning experience to volunteer to do this, I would highly recommend it to anyone who's willing to try it.

Although old people in the States are often sent to a "home" by their families, they are usually very smart, kind, well-cared for and full of life.
