Another excellent documentary. I hope you can explore similar artisan shops like this in Singapore. The government should provide more support for our locals doing such cottage style trades!

Something about Mr. Yang Yeo's house design is so soothing, it feels like what a minimalist house in a tropical country would've look like.

I love how respectful the Japanese culture is. America is very much lacking in that category.

I had one old canvas bag forgot where I get it from because it's too long ago, now though a lil bit darker, lols, I don't remember if its originally dark grey or dark blue but still good and I kept my knitting and crochet tools in it with some yarn. The canvas so hard and strong I don't have to worry any of my needles will poke out and drop anywhere. On second thought bout the colour, it might be dark green too.

This old fashion way of selling will be phrased out soon, who has the resources to personally come to his store to buy n smell his bags yearly? How does a person living at the other side of the world get their hands on his products?

There are numerous domestic brands that never make it out of Japan's borders but have thrived for hundreds of years, many outlasting some of the biggest American or European brands. If you go to Japan you'll see some labels that have tags on products that say "not for sale outside of Japan" and they still thrive domestically because of obsessive cult-like consumers like with this brand presented here.
