Was in Bali February. No problems with Russians, even went to Russian Rap Singer gig Oxymiron. That was packed with Russians all pretty well behaved. The only problem i had was with drunk Aussies. Several times had to deal with Oz yobs playing big shot. One time i was at a Club with 2 Russian girls i met in Bali, and a parade of idiot Oz yobs one by one started to show off before the girls. It was cringe worthy lol. The girls couldn't understand how juvenile these men would be. I went to the bathroom and these 2 Oz guys followed me wanting to know who i was, where are you from? who are the girls? how do i know them? I just stood there and laughed. Its this Oz high school thing Aussies never really grow out of. They still think there at High School and this sort of behaviour is ok. They got angry at me because i just laughed and said nothing. I was ready to rumble. I answered one question, where are you from? I said Mongolian, which i'm not but thought was funny. As i walked out they tried to stand in front of me. I just smiled, looked at there eyes, then feet, then sideways and shoved past them. They were just all talk lol. Whenever i heard that Oz Nasal accent in Bali we always made sure to avoid. I mean, if they wanted to meet one of the girls they just had to pop over and make conversation but that type of concept was way beyond them. I felt sorry for them, it was like watching high school kids heavily effected by peer pressure, each trying to out do the other. But sadly they were around 30 years but acting like 13. Pathetic.

I went to Phuket in 2010 it was friendly and affordable I went back in 2019 most establishments had closed down food and alcohol and taxis were expensive, lots of tourists from over the world it felt more like a city than an Island. Theres even a Mcdonalds on Pee pee Island but that was there before 2010. I feel the real issue is over tourism too many people holidaying on a very small area.

Poor journalism. Non-Thais can only buy a 30 year lease in an apartment building. The only freehold a non-Thai can buy is a unit in a building registered under the Condominium Act, and this is restricted to 49% of the floor area. If the 49% foreign quota in a condominium is full, a non-Thai can only buy a 30 year lease. Forming a company with Thai nominees to buy a freehold is illegal.

Exemple Goa in India...once a huge Russian colony. Bali is actually on the edge of changing some rules... For me it's easy. The places with much to much of them, are out for me. If I want to visit Thailand, I definitely don't need the feeling to be not anymore in the Kingdom , but rather in Moscow or St.Petersburg...!
