Seeing that cross slide handle hit the ground killed me. Those old prison lathes are pretty much cherry from not being beat the hell in a working shop. Those old irons are worth some change

Me too... We didn’t have any riggers... and had to do it ourselves. I left it to the teacher and inmates and it definitely sucked. But learned from it and it never happened again. Machines go donated to kids

Just a word of advise. NEVER lift a Lathe by the spindle like in 8 minutes. Kills the bearings. Just saying.

Amazing, S.A can be compared to a prison, there's fences everywhere and our corrupt leaders are the wardens. Starting with the Titan building blocks gave me hope again.

i am watching this show »Titan and i got tears because i am in cnc machining school and we dont even do as much of what you doo in cnc :( and i am looking for a cnc school so i could thrive towards this subject !

I went to one of the best Technical colleges here in SA recently to see if they still give CNC classes. What I found is shocking, the CNC machines weren't being utilized for 3 years allready and it looked like the scholars were being trained on manual machines only.

Was the whole place cleaned down for painting or just slopped all over?. I would had use the mass n weight of that fork lift and reverse to bust that wall instead of jackhammering.

I’m about to turn myself in to do 3 years in prison. That would be cool if they shot me up to The Q for the CNC Program. I’ve been machining out here for almost 10 years...which was when I got out of prison the last time. I love doing what I do. And HAAS is my favorite brand of machine.

I wouldn't deny free paint if it's slightly off colour.

Ya, I did because it had a greater meaning. I had been preaching to the men that the white paint signified their new life away from darkness and they couldn’t compromise... So when brown cream paint came I denied it... and fought for white paint. The company got a lot of publicity from me and used all of it for marketing... and sold the other paint so it’s all good

Donated them to kids... many had been sitting for 60 yrs and were completely seized. Lots of Amazing history but they let the shop go and locked it down for years... When I came, nothing had been running and it had thick dust covering everything

All of the machines removed were donated to schools. Nothing went to waste :-)
