CNC milling of airplane ribs off AIREX® carbon panels

Ribs for an airplane are CNC milled off AIREX® panels with carbon and flax face sheets. Router is a special hard metall router for composites (Karnasch 29.1783).

Thank you very much for video! May I ask you, what kind of carbon fiber did you use in this sandwich panel? Weight and plain or twill? how much millimeter Airex?

Thanks! We used ±45° biaxial carbon fiber with either 80 g/m² or 200 g/m². On top we had 100 g/m² plain flax fiber as a protection agains sprinter. The AIREX© 7C-0.55 had 6 mm, but his depens on what you actually need.
