i use a clamp that is turned down to 14mm diameter to fit inside a m16 tapped hole that i use for lifting

So basically you welded those m16 nuts and clamped them with the turned clams?

In solidcam 3D Imachining or in mastercam dynamic milling. Those are super cam strategies.
