FWIW, that first project is a ballista, not a trebuchet. =) Also, I spent a few hours yesterday using my ABB 1372 Bowl Bit on my CNC. Glad I bought it.

For engraving mirrors, you typically engrave on the back, where you essentially remove the coating. Once engraved, you can paint the exposed area if desired. If you want to add lights and color, this approach allows you to achieve that effect. This can be done with a diode laser. However, if you want to engrave the front (reflective) side of the mirror, you must coat the glass with a material first. This coating protects the laser from the mirror's reflectivity, which can otherwise bounce the laser beam back and cause issues. Without a coating, the laser beam can reflect back, potentially damaging the laser lens or redirecting in an unintended direction, posing safety risks like blinding you or burning nearby objects. This principle applies to any laser and any type of mirror, even with a high-power 1 MW fiber laser. The outcome depends on the reflectivity of the mirror.

Reclaimed cedar fence boards. They're light and you can get them for free in a lot of cases.

Andy I am in no way bashing your video or any other videos on KZbin. But I watch the videos and look at the whole picture on screen. and what I see is nobody ever has the projects in the background. And it's not just you it every creator on KZbin. seem to make a video of "Here is a list of projects that sell/ make money even though I don't make or sell them" And I mean Wayfair has a ton of ideas for things to copy-ish and make. But I've never see any of this sitting on the shelf behind you or anyone while watching the videos. Again I am not bashing you or any other person it's just something I noticed on all the videos. Just from my standpoint if you had a ton of "widget" blanks in the background and the video was talking about the blanks you make. I would be more inclined to believe you know what sells in the "widget" market. Look at your video with Broinwood he makes cutting boards with amazing inlays in them. And his shop is stocked full of cutting boards! And I honestly hope NO BODY thinking I am blasting you here. And I am not saying how to make videos as I don't have a channel myself. I just a guy with a cmc few lasers tools watching videos like everyone else. You're just the only one who makes videos that I like enough to ask is all it's about.

I normally like your videos but this was 2 hours of showing me what other people sell. I could do that on my own.
