Could you do a couple shapes in Fusion 360 all the way from Cad to Cam to Mach4 to cutting? In my CNC journey I'm on the fence between spending my time getting to know Vectric or Fusion 360 first.

Just wondering how you're going with the dog hole spoil board? I'm going to install a new spoil board system on mine this week and have been considering what Hornberger did as well. 👍🏼

The lateral stability of clamped work piece is excellent however there is a tendency for the clamped work to lift away from the spoilboard slightly if you apply too much clamping force. This led me to worry that the work pieces could be lifted (in the z-axis direction) unexpectedly. So I tried prying up on a clamped board and it did NOT move easily, so I'm satisfied it should be fine. I will say, if I absolutely needed to make sure there was no movement in the z direction I might devise a way to clamp things more conventionally.

I did my first spoilboard with dog holes like Marius’ as well, but I made them a bit too loose and found that pieces were definitely lifted vertically when tightening the cam clamp. I’m getting close to doing it again (gluing a new piece on top of what is the “wasted” portion that sits below the top of the T-track, threaded inserts, and any other components you don’t want a bit to hit), and I may experiment with tightening up the tolerance on the holes prior, to make them more effective. I’m curious how it’s worked for either of you.

Also, in case you’re not aware Marius has two or three? spoilboard videos … he seems to be a perfectionistic genius who isn’t afraid to optimize his ideas!

Lot of dust... you are underselling it :) . I just did that too and I underestimated the dust that MDF puts out. It's like chalk dust. What a mess ! And of course bad for you, get the dust boot ready .

A question, which post prossesor do you use in Fusion 360 to generate the G code?. Thanks

Since my machine is a clone of CNC Router Parts Pro 4x4 I began using their post processor named "CNC Router Parts (Mach3Mil) / cncrouterparts". It seems to be working for me so far.
