Brian Cooley for you
@agntxcsmc10 жыл бұрын
even then he couldn't hide the adulation for this wonderful car, only jealous bastards hate the Veyron
@milliamp9 жыл бұрын
agntxcsmc The Veyron was/is a classic at this point. It broke new ground when it came out but now there are faster cars that can be had for cheaper and the rest of the industry has changed since the Veyron came out. You have to replace the tires every 4,000 miles for $40k and the rims every 10k miles for another $50k so it costs $130,000 per 10,000 miles in rims and tires alone. You could buy a Nissan GT-R or Chevy Corvette that will beat it around the nurburgring for less money than that. Bugatti is going to end production of the Veyron and build a hybrid replacement to compete with the McLaren P1, LaFerrari, and Porsche 918 spyder which have all overtaken the Veyron in acceleration.

I use specialized custom-made trucks to transport them to a place where I drive them. I also give two of these away to charities every year. Tax write off of course. I love my life. Yes, I totally made that up.

If I had $1 billion and I bought a Bugatti Veyron, there should be some five or six mile-long runway where I can go to drive it at top speed!!! This car is a straight line Excelerator onl. Yyou can't drive around the track because it's far too powerful and it overwhelms its own brakes.

It is much easier to build an expensive hyper sports car than it is to build a pure play luxury car. I can easily name a few hypercar manufacturer, but only a couple of ultra luxury car manufacturer. Heritage is a very important element in an ultra-luxury car brand, meanwhile, technology and vehicle performance are the important elements in building a hypercar.
@patrickpelletier63158 жыл бұрын
wait, so you're saying for example this is easier to do than lets say a Bentley? you couldnt be further from the truth if that's what you think. you need to focus on a stable package but a powerful one at that which can cut through the air with the least amount of drag possible. sounds easier than it is. not to mention if you've ever been in a Veyron at high speed it is totally stable. it isnt jumping all over the place, neither would a Bentley but a Corvette and stuff like that would at the same speed

FastLikeUNO yea it is ridiculous. On top of that they lost money on Veyrons but they didnt cut corners. Because the customer base would not accept even the slightest flaw. Which is understandable but means there's a lot of work to be put into that

What is a gas guzzler tax and do you have to pay it every year?
@FJL77819 жыл бұрын
WuWei Xu No, Its one time tax when you buy the car. It only applies to CARS, with a combined fuel economy under 22.5MPG. Note I said CARS, as it only applies to cars, not trucks or SUV's. When the law was put in place way back the in the 70's most suv's didn't exist and trucks were considered commercial vehicles.

If a MacBook is a $2000 Facebook/KZbin machine, then this Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse is a $3million 35MPH machine? How can you possibly go beyond that especially in the land of freedom where restriction applies?
@3232schmitty9 жыл бұрын
+Bright Ivan (Winkiedilwy) there's only a handful of straightaways that even allow this car the room to top out, but like the $2000 Facebook machine, people buy this as a status symbol. Hell, the fighter Floyd Mayweather has three of these and he is far from what I'd call a driving enthusiast, or even literate.
