I think most people don't understand Brian Cooley's reviews. If you are a race car driver, you wouldn't be watching car reviews. These reviews are for the majority of us that spend 99.99% on the street and hearing the unbiased opinion of a somewhat regular person (Brian is extremely tech savvy). You are in the wrong place if you are analyzing the video and scrutinizing how he is or isn't hitting every apex and managing over/under steer. Go watch various other channels or watch some people's track videos. I highly enjoy Brian's reviews and I think CNet hits a niche that all that other oversteering, sideways inducing 'hooligans'/track battle, every 'millisecond counts' race car driver/reviewers don't.

Cooley they shift paddles are supposed to be on the wheel just like it is on race cars so that you can shift out of turns without taking your hands from the wheel. If you would be a race you would probably agree. The way Ferrari/Maserati and some other manufacturers do is not for the 9/3 o clock driver cause is and out of turns you can't pull the paddles... And I disagree with the driveline noise. It sounds totally fine to me. Might be different on CA streets. Not sure. (*I have had a test car for 2 weeks in Germany.)
@Kaipeternicolas11 жыл бұрын
ormand3000 wow you are an idiot. Have you even driven cars with fixed paddles and steering wheel mounted paddles? Probably not. The incompetence of people posting on KZbin is just insane. Including you. First of all, you don't shift if you turn more than 160ish degrees so your "twizzler" comment is already out the door. Second, have you ever watched any car racing in your life? Is there any racing car that has fixed paddles? Are they complaining about twizzler arms? I know, crazy right? Now you gonna say "but that's on a race track, bla bla bla" yes but paddle shifters are made for when driving "fast" and track oriented. Go drive a Lambo or a Ferrari, you will see how annoying it is to take the HANDS OFF THE WHEEL to shift while accelerating out of a corner. Defeats the purpose of the paddles.
@Kaipeternicolas11 жыл бұрын
ormand3000 Probably never heard of the 9/3 o clock position either. I'm arguing with an intellectual. Not...
@Kaipeternicolas11 жыл бұрын
ormand3000 Here this is only for you cause I know you don't know much about this. You can see several times how the driver needs to take his hand away from the wheel to shift, which doesn't really make things easier. That's why the German engineers have wheel mounted paddles in all cars. Cause they are well thought out. When I turn around my car, I don't need to use my paddles to shift. /watch?v=fX4lXycTTsw

Hi, Anyone here actually had any experience with this car? My friend took 1st place on a time attack event with this 4 door monster a few days ago, with two Ferrari Speciale following 2nd and 3rd place. I have not actually been in this car and thats why i am confused here. How good this car really is?? I mean man, the opponents are 458 speciale. (And one of the 458 drivers had been driving 430 SC on track for years.)

140,000.00 that has rear end noise? BMW really what is it for? You can't drive a car like that on California freeways without every Highway Patrol looking at you with their radar. So to me it is all ego. Also with the way things are going with cars today it will be out of date next year! Of course I would never have the money to even buy a BMW so maybe all my bitching is me just being jealous?

The trouble with this review is the guy sounds like a salesman and not anyone who understands or is able to drive properly. His comments should relate to other cars by comparison to give the listener something to relate to. I own an M6 GC and reading most of the comments below suggest they don't. Don't speculate on something you know nothing about. A truly great car that covers most bases, looks for a big four door car are sleek and very well penned. Plenty of space and easy to use as a daily, fuel consumption and range are excellent for it's power and size. Technology works seamlessly well, not sure what I would have bought as anything near.

Do a rolling start in the c63 vs a m6. The reason it doesn't have a great 0-60 is because it puts to much power that it spins the wheels. In a rolling it absolutely eats cars.
