Monday 27th March 2023
From a trip to Snowdonia in March of this year, my first walk of the week was to take in Cnicht and Moelwyn Mawr, from the village of Croesor. I had a number of walks planned for this week... But this first day would be the only one to contain sunshine! My first time walking in these particular mountains.
Further videos from this trip will follow!

You can hear that bog in the early stages and later. Beautiful derelict miners houses, and there is nothing like a nice Trig. Beautiful hike Oly, thanks for sharing.

Hi Chris, Thanks for watching. If you get the chance to explore beyond the Peak District, I'd recommend Snowdonia among other places. I'll have another video up soon. Hope you've had s good weekend and all the best. Olly

Excellent video - like the maps and the presentation style: gives me inspiration to get back to Snowdonia.

Hi John, Thanks for watching and for your comment. If you're thinking about it, I'd say do it! I feel like I have 'unfinished business' there myself, as the next few days weren't nearly as beautiful as this. Hope you've been having a good weekend and all the best. Olly

Olly, a beautiful day to return to Snowdonia☀👍 Loved those views over the mountains and out to sea. Those old houses at the slate quarry looked pretty cool and well constructed. Always good to hear you squelching through boggy ground💧😊 A good walk👍

Hi Gill, That's great to hear! I hope you get some decent weather too - September can often be a better month than August. I've not been away since this trip and haven't done as many walks. Thinking about maybe trying to get away next month but undecided on where. Hope you have a great time and thanks for watching. Olly

That boggy ground was on another level 😂 looked like you were walking on wet sponges at some points haha!

Hi Luke, Certainly felt like a giant sponge at times! Worst was where I went a bit off course between Cnicht and Moelwyn Mawr. Thanks for watching and I'll hopefully have the rest of the videos from this trip soon! Olly

Great walk Olly - good to see you back out. I was going to say that, 'so long as the mountain is in front of you.' A steep one but satisfying with such still conditions. All day on the tops - awesome views. Thanks for sharing. How did the boots hold up with so much bog? Reasonable by the sounds. Well, good going al afternoon. Take care out there. Mark

Hi Mark, I can hardly believe it's taken me this long to get the video out! More will follow soon. Steep walks are often my favourites and the weather was absolutely beautiful! My boots seemed to be alright, thanks. These bogs were quite shallow. The rain was yet to arrive... Hope you've been having a good weekend and that your knee is growing stronger. All the best.

@@WalksWithOlly Now few say that the steep ones are their faves Olly - Good to hear you like the upward slog and that the boots worked out. I'll look out for the incoming wet ones. Sounds like that anyway. Me, been sore again lately but recovering. Peace.

You need webbed feet for all that wet bog. Best wishes on the next.
