You know you've done something good when people from all over the world comment about it. When I first came across her videos I could tell she did most of the work herself. Her video quality was going a bit down sometime back and she was having trouble shooting everything by herself, so she hired an assistant who takes the videos/photographs for her (and i am guessing helps her out with editing). All the work is still done entirely by her and her alone. Apparently it led to a bit of a blacklash from jealous haters, and some other vloggers stalked her and even implanted cameras in her house. Idk why people are making a big deal out of it. Poor girl, i wish she stays safe. Many prayers to her. May God bless her and her family.

The Chinese peoples were using movable block printing techniques that predate Guttenberg's (European) printing press by at least five hundred years. @Yan Yan and others - If you want to be really impressed, consider that to get the characters to print properly so that they could be read, she had to write the characters and cut them out backwards, as well as read the characters backwards and right to left in the print block to be sure that they presented what she intended to write.

After repeatedly watching all her videos, I came to conclusion that, no matter how perfect she does her work, im sure she put a lot of hardwork and practise behind the scene to master her activities for videos and so I think we should all learn from her. After all she is also a human being no matter how much we think she is fairy. She is truely amazing treasure this world possess.

Maybe is the way she actually lives. She is probably much more delicate and careful when filming. She has a great eye for aesthetics, visuals photography and composition. And since she lives in the country side, in a very remote area she is not ruled by the same timetables the society imposes on us. I bet she wakes up early and goes early to bed and she spends her time doing things that need to be done anyways. She just makes sure she can film her scenes in the process. I truly admire her dedication.

@@xeniadono She learned many of the skills she presents in front of us along the way, some are just for fun while some others are for fulfilling her own curiosity because she admires ancient Chinese people's wisdom on how to utilize very limited resource and make the most out of it (by her own words). As a matter of fact, many skills that we see here can be done by many people grew up in the same place; as she once said during an interview "those skills in some people's eyes are simply instinct for survival to us". But differ from most people, she is gifted in terms of having great eye for aesthetics (she has zero formal training on those). She can do more than most people because she loves to learn and practice. She works super hard and has the will power to learn - when she started doing these videos, she didn't even know very basic camera work (was using a so-so smartphone camera), but through a friend, she had a chance to learn from a professional photographer in China and then she kept improving. She is also super obsessive (her own words), in one episode of making Chinese ramen, back then she still did everything only by herself (she has one assistant and one cameraman now), in order to make one shot of pulling noodle satisfactory to her standard, she took about 200 shots - recording, pulling noodle, stopping camera, checking, not happy, recording again, pulling....how many of use has this kind of patience (or obsession to perfection)? I guess Steve Jobs did. I saw many people say she is sponsored by Chinese Communist Party or by Chinese Department of Tourism while they know absolutely nothing about her dedication to life; sad.
