I was a young child at the time of the kidnapping and lived just a few blocks from where the suspect was dropped off by cab. The woman who rented the apartment below ours was a suspect. I vividly remember detectives coming to our door and questioning my parents. They point blank asked if we had heard a baby crying in the apartment! This sad story left its mark on me and now has come full circle...

What a story! I loved the film. I hope to see more about his future discoveries, life. I hate to say it but I don’t think his sister is alive. Especially the way the neighbor babysitter described her demeanor when she met her as a baby. I wish there was more insight on his real (abusive) parents.

Agree. Likely something happened to her right before he was abandoned. Paul was truly better off raised by the parents that raised him. This was an amazing story. Truth is stranger than fiction.

Like Paul I found out through genealogical testing that I was adopted. My results came in and cousin names I thought would pop up weren't there. Instead I get an email from a woman that wanted to know if I was adopted because she thought she was my paternal half sister. By this point I was 52. My adopted mom who had sworn everyone to secrecy had died. Not one shred of paperwork from the adoption existed. My adopted dad was elderly (since deceased) and claimed all he knew was that I was adopted privately. My aunt (also now deceased) worked at a maternity hospital and somehow arranged it. He said the attorney (name forgotten and in a different town) kept all the paperwork. Add to it the person that through cousin matches I think was my biological mom died the same year as my adopted mom. I did get to meet my biological dad just weeks before he passed away. He said he had not known anything about me but was very sweet when we met. He did have a recollection of a girl he'd gone out with but wasn't sure. Hey it was the 60s. But I do wonder if the adoption was entirely legal... but will never know since my State has closed adoptions. They've started to open some public adoptions but not private ones.

I believe over the years babies got mixed up in nurseries. They brought my grandmother the wrong baby when she was in the hospital. She knew and said “Thats not my baby”.

I don’t understand why once they found the real Paul fronzack they didn’t ask to see a picture of his mother to match it with what the nurse at the hospital saw the day he was kidnapped. Seems pretty straightforward to me.

I think the mother who raised the real Paul was the kidnapper from the real parents but is dead so cannot be prosecuted! But the siblings of Jack should be compelled to testify as to what happened to Jill and their parents might have killed his twin Jill! Perhaps they knew about it! Jack Should make them testify!!

Dora may not have truly believed Paul was her child. He was likely bigger than her real son would have been by about 6 months. My guess is alcoholism and mental health issues affected Pauls real parents.

It was because over half the troops were already removed from the country and the locals knew they could no longer depend on the US and so lost the will to participate. The damage was already done.
