I've been in US jails multiple times, & the first thing I I thought when I saw the video was, "wow that blanket looks brand new. How can HE be an actual prisoner?" If you've ever been in any jail, the blankets, if you're lucky enough to get one, are torn bits of rags.

Velocity
@Brandon-rc9vp18 минут бұрын
Let's see if your logic holds...assuming a generously sized 5mm bar catch in the lock with hardened steel and around 400 MPa tensile strength, that would take about 100 Joules to break. He appeared to be holding an AK-74, which fires a 5.45x39mm NATO round with a standard bullet weight of 60ish grains or about 3.9 grams. Muzzle velocity of 850-900m/s...1/2mv^2...that's around 1500J-1600J for a point blank shot- so yes it should easily break the lock. Hardness doesn't come into play- you aren't trying to penetrate it, your just breaking it by exceeding it's tensile strength. An AK-74 can shoot holes in 6mm steel plate at 100 yards all day long.
