One thing worthy noting though is that there is a good chance that these actions will only buy some time of peace. What lead to these groups in the first place was the less than ideal living conditions after the six-day war. So the young people will just grow up only seeing a picture of their living conditions and aftermath of the destruction and grow in resentment. We will then have more groups like this. So I hope Israel handles the aftermath better this time.

I find it weird that in EVERY IDF blast there are “2 young girls” killed. It’s not statistically possibly that every blast, every day, there are 2 young girls killed. The only reason is that the terminology and reference tracks well, and is It’s sympathetic to western media. Like the closing scene in Schindlers List - the image of a young girls death is heartbreaking. No one ever asks, why after a year in war are you keeping kids in the rubble. No one ever shows evidence of these kids or images of bodies. As a military professional, I have to say that the civilian death toll is surprisingly low for what must be achieved. The IDF has acted with great restraint...I wouldnt have, in the same circumstances.
