Donald Trump sat down with Jake Tapper to discuss his views on healthcare, trade, abortion, same-sex marriage, and a host of other issues.

TheCashistrash Absolutely well said. The real problem is that this terribly important issue has been missed entirely that Donald Trump has spoken honestly about. The American taxpayers are hurting economically because of degradation of our monetary policy, fiat money, artificial interest rates, inflation, malinvestment of the Federal Reserve Bank (dare I say that). American taxpayers hostility is inflamed and they have no real incentive to work because of the Domestic and Corporate welfare that they see the federal government giving out through their tax dollars, then immigrants are seen as a threat. The Federal mandates on the States(get rid of those incentives) that you must give education, give Healthcare, and other benefits have bankrupted the schools and hospitals in the process. We concern ourselves more with the borders between Afghanistan and Pakistan then our own borders. We have the unbridled audacity to scapegoat the Hispanic community because we are failing in Domestic and Foreign Affairs. It certainly hasn't helped matters when we passed NAFTA and CAFTA and those corporate managed trade agreements dumped subsidized corn into Mexico displacing farmers. The United States has supported dictators and oligarchs in Latin American countries that brutalized and impoverished their citizens controlled by wealthy families and the military and they drive them north desperate to feed their families, Who of us wouldnt do the same? Plus the greed of the meat packing plants who take these workers who are frightened and can be exploited. We shouldn't be cruel to immigrants but I believe strongly in the Rule of law that our National sovereignty demands that.

Bunnie Luv He's had THREE marriages. That is considered adultery in your precious bible. You are a hypocrite, there is nothing TRADITIONAL about divorcing, especially more than once, moron.
@redlethe86799 жыл бұрын
Haylee Hannity While that is correct, that only makes the OP hypocritical if the OP has had un-Biblical divorces. Or was even reffering to _both_ parts of traditional marriage.
@bingo43389 жыл бұрын
Haylee Hannity Well that "precious Bible" that you are referring, you might want to wake up cause it's yours too. Also, you weren't there and neither was I so we don't know what went on in his marriages. I was just stating what he is now not based off what he's done. TRADITIONAL as in "not gay," you MORON!. I said nothing about "adultery." He is willing to take on and fix the massive mess that Obama has created in this country so he's got my vote.
@redlethe86799 жыл бұрын
***** _*"and if you actually took time to do research on nature, you'd realize that being gay is completely natural."*_ I've looked into it enough to know we don't currently have anything proving that this demographic (that takes up less than 2% of the general population) is normal. We don't even have a gay gene to show anyone. *_"Even sheep do it, hell sheep (male rams) are the gayest animals on the planet."_* Yes, this is noticed in domesticated sheep. *Regardless,* I'm pretty sure different animals treat sex in different ways than humans typically do. *_"But just because someone likes to do something and you don't, does not give you the right to say that they can't do it."_* That doesn't, but freedom of speech does. If you don't like it, get over it. It goes both ways. *_"If anything "God" should be angry at you for not accepting other people, you twat. :)"_* Which is your non-Christian opinion. If this is about acceptance, then you should also be accepting of the fact that people have different opinions than you. :)
@bingo43389 жыл бұрын
***** Here we go again! Actually he has been divorced twice and married three times (that just shows how uneducated you are and how you don’t care to pay attention to details). Even though Trump has said it over and over, let me clarify once again. Trump has said “his divorces were more about the fact that he worked too much.” The man is a billionaire, he worked all of the time and never made time for anything else. Of course, your marriage would probably fail if you didn’t make time for the other person. It’s the path he chose, it’s not that he didn’t care about his previous wives (Trump said this). We all sin in life and that’s between him and God. How about you know the facts and stop all of your “guessing” that you are doing just because you think he’s “annoying.” What I will say to you about the Bible is that it’s not just “my” Bible and there is a lot of people today who still live by God’s word, myself included. It’s unfortunate that you do not! Being “gay” has always been a sour subject and believers will stand by what the Bible says that “marriage is between one man and one woman NOT you and your gay male rams.” I feel bad for you because someone obviously got a hold of you when you were young or didn’t and didn’t teach you morals and values. Didn’t teach you about the Christian principles in which this great country was founded on. I know of so many people who do not stand for what’s currently going on in our country right now. Again, I never said anything…about not accepting someone based off of how they believe. I respect the way other people believe, you are the one who is advising me “put that book down.” When someone tells me to do something against my beliefs then I will stand with God against it. Oh and….you said “I might change my opinion on literally everything?” No, I wouldn’t! I live by God’s word and I’m thankful that Jesus didn’t turn his back on us at the last minute.

bully pulpit First of all, calling democrats "left" is funny to me (I'm a leftist for real, so calling democrats left is insulting to me), secondly, as an outsider (I'm European) I recognize that less fun has been made out of Obama in contrast to Bush - but I would say, that's only because Bush was gold material for comedians, whereas Obama is a very sarcastic person himself, so there is no material left for comedians. Just a thought...

hattorihanzo in the us democrats are left of center, hence left. Republicans are right of center (unless they are neocon-- we all know they are left of center that have infiltrated the right). Also, an increase in the minimum wage will help, but not to the extention where small businesses cannot afford entry level work. Immigration reform will allow for taxes to be paid and hopefully a larger middle class. Keep welfare until there are jobs available, then snuff out all the leaches who are feeding off the government and just refuse to work. If there are readily available jobs, then there is no excuse.

It's a shame Trump is so off on social issues. I think he would actually be a great president when it came to money. But his "stance" on marriage is too off putting for me. "I'm for traditional marriage"...well, that's fine. Because marriage in the traditional sense hasn't changed at all. Men and women can still get married to each other. Extending rights to someone else doesn't demean the rights of someone else. It really is too bad. I think electing someone who, for once, doesn't come from a hyper political background would be a nice change of pace and maybe even help the county. But I could never vote for someone who takes issue with me marrying the man I've spent the last ten years with :/
@unclefixer9 жыл бұрын
Brandon Petruska Vote for him anyway. So , he thinks marriage should only be between a man and a woman. The real problems of this country are not who sleeps with who. It is , our economy is in trouble. We are deep in debt and we have other social issues, like that traditional marriage people keep talking about. Pay down the debt , start building factories and making products again. Go back to the original constitution and try minding our own business and solving our own problems. Yes that means securing our borders, don't let mexico ship it's problems to us. Stick to the important stuff and go back to the ways , history says works and get rid of the many" failed social engineering experiments.
@unclefixer9 жыл бұрын
Brandon Petruska ONE MORE THING. that marriage thing , well I hate to tell you this , but under the current marriage laws, marriage is a very big gamble. It's not IF the system will work you over , but when and who it decides to pick on. Men today are not getting married, to women, because divorce is so devastating to them. Imagine waking up one day and everything you worked your ass off for has been taking away and they send you the bill , you had better pay under penalty of incarceration. Marriage.. think long and hard , before you involve the state in your business. No ,it ain't because they are worried about your rights, no , it is that men like me , aren't getting married and that cost them alot of money. So they need new victims, those who aren't wise enough or experienced enough to know to avoid traps like marriage.
@4Liberty4Justice4All9 жыл бұрын
***** Couldn't have said it any better. Why in the hell is it the gov't's business as to your marriage status? (mostly due to our goofy tax codes). If you want to get married in the local "gays of latter day saints" church... go for it... it is between you and your choice of faith (or lack thereof). Not anyone else's concern and certainly not the gov't.
@Eric.1I379 жыл бұрын
***** That about sums up Trumps thoughts on homosexual partners, they are a none issue. He has more importent things to worry about, like how to set U.S. trade policy up so a large amount of higher paying jobs come back to our country. Or how to deal with the out of control debt and spending. Or....on and on. Get the picture guys? We have bigger and more important things to worry about as a nation then some dam flag or who wants to live with who. Trump understands this and is thinking about the important things.
@anonymousguy86629 жыл бұрын
Brandon Petruska but he isn't going to ban gay marriage. You can bet on that. I don't think he even believes in 'traditional' marriage. He is just saying that to win Republican nomination. That's why he keeps saying he's 'evolved' which means he's lying to get Republican votes. Same sex marriage is here to stay. And really it's not of much importance in bigger scheme of things. Believe me, I am gay. Trump is a social liberal who is pretending he's not. Vote for a better economy, end to mass-immigration and common sense. Vote trump.

Master Penquin Not to Democrats. They see the illegal foreign invaders as millions of new voters who will vote 8-2 for them. Americans weren't voting for them, so they implemented polices (starting with the 1965 immigration act) where they could import new voters, and it worked, to the detriment of America. But it's not like these conniving cunts ever really cared about the well being of America anyway. All they care about is getting into office and holding power.

Sonic Rainboom Obama has actually put a lot of money into border security though. Deportation numbers have risen since his presidency. Not taking sides, but just putting that out there. I don't think vague generalizations about either party are very valid, though.
@bigkok20928 жыл бұрын
You are one of them.*hypocrite*
@chainlinkfence65908 жыл бұрын
Vough The Democrats were the ones who started this massive illegal immigration and set the policy framework that lead to this. So yes, they are to blame. And saying that "deportation numbers have risen under Obama" is deceptive. Because under the Obama administration, they started counting people who just crossed the border and were caught and sent back as "deportees". They never counted those people as deportees before. Obama let out 36.000 illegal alien CRIMINALS back onto American streets. Including 200 murderers, over 400 rapists, and 300 kidnappers. And he's also planning on bringing in tens of thousands of Syrian refugees a couple months after ISIS openly stated that they're planning on infiltrating the western world through immigration. So don't give me this BS about how both parties are the same on immigration. The Democrats are out of control. However you're right that many Republicans have been weak pansies on this issue aswell. But nowhere near the extent that the left has. They're ruining the country with their policies. dailycaller.com/2014/05/12/murderers-rapists-kidnappers-over-36000-criminal-illegal-immigrants-released-in-2013/#ixzz3mFhQsNUU

rob andres And hugely recovered all four times. This nation is bankrupt maybe a rebuilder is what we need right now. I guess you could say the same for the Clintons, as they were flat broke 15 years ago and they are back in the 1% now (of course they rebuilt on "donations"from governments that get their money from the labor of their citizens, but that's no matter).
@znhait9 жыл бұрын
rob andres I hope you will learn from my response. First, I think 75% of the people who try to say Trump went bankrupt hardly know what the term is. I'll give you an example though. Say I own a house worth 300,000 but that's the only asset I have. I owe someone 10,000 dollars and the person wants it back. If I want to protect my house, I would file for bankruptcy, which would protect my only asset from being liquidated into cash. I would have more time to pay that 10,000 dollars. Trump's filing were on a bigger scale, but that's essentially what he did. He did work out a deal with his creditors and both parties got a reasonable deal. Unfortunately, most people(including you) think filing for bankruptcy means someone has absolutely no money and has all debts wiped away. That does happen, but that wouldn't be chapter 11 bankruptcy which is what Trump filed for each time.

oh my. I really like how he accidentally says he's prochoice. Then the interviewer clarifies/corrects him. He managed to keep a straight face the whole time. wow. but did smile a little after the Iraq bit. serious lolz here.

He makes sense speaks truthfully and doesn't seek to appeal to the masses for votes like so many others who lie their way into office. He's not fearful of what others might think and knows exactly what's wrong with the country and what to do about it. Love his comments on the 'bad deals' we make because of bad negotiators.

Capital of automobiles? Hardly. I work for Toyota, building their trucks here in San Antonio. For the longest time, the Tacoma was built entirely in Mexico. A while back though, just in the last 5 or so years, they started moving them here to the San Antonio plant where the Tundra is built. For a while now, our plant built the "cab" of the truck, while the Mexico plant built the deck. Just last week that changed - as we switched to a new model for the Tacoma, we also expanded our plant to build the ENTIRE Tacoma, front to back, right here in America. I dunno about the other auto manufacturers - but Toyota has moved further away from Mexico.

@thegossiptimes8 жыл бұрын
I mean you gotta give it to him, the man is confident and doesn't care about what people think about him, gotta admire that. He's determined and protective of his ideas and thoughts. Honestly most leaders now a days would have shit their pants if they got in the spotlight for something they did that was questionable, they just smile and agree with the majority and hope they stay in office for longer.

We need politicians who are willing to speak their mind, not fearing bad press. I think it is fantastic that Trump is willing to adamantly take a stance on these tough issues. It takes a true man to say he does not support abortion, knowing full well that he will lose a lot of potential pro-choice voters. This is what America needs more of: People who speak their mind, say what they plan on doing, give legitimate reasons for wanting to do so, and actually planning on doing it, not caring what others think of them. Now, is that person we need Trump?...I'll hold off on saying 'til now, but I respect the direction Trump is going in.

I am not an American citizen, and I must say: ¨Thanks to the Republican Party for coming up with this extraordinary display!!! It is amazing to watch the United States decadence in High Definition. The GOP election has made the US the laughing stock in the developed world. After Sarah Palin, I really thought the republicans were not going to be able to damage their country´s image in the world any further….but 2015´s pathetic performance has done it. Kudos!¨

I wish the interviewer would let Mr Trump express and expound upon his views more especially when he seemed eager to tell it straight. That way people will be clear what he believes and then they can decide whether or not they like what he stands for or not. The same should apply to any and every political candidate. Interviewers should push from clarification only when a person is being evasive.

As much as I may not agree trump on a lot of issues. He does raise and make some interesting points! He is very blunt and upfront about a lot of things. It's a bit of fresh air... To hear someone speak and not be so concerned on "what your parties views are" or "what your party will think about you for making such comments"
@mmtsr88489 жыл бұрын
Tapper's question on global warming is a good one, and Trump's answer is clever, but he doesn't indicate any intention to address it as an issue. I think there is a middle ground that should be addressed by politicians: whether you believe in global warming or not (although you should), there is no doubt that the same factors that contribute to global warming contribute to a dirty environment, which it is in all of our interests (and the interests of our children) to address. Rather than arguing with the ignorant over something that they (irresponsibly) disagree with, we should find consensus on something that we should can agree on.
