If by “every first responder failed to to do their job” you specifically mean the cops, then yes I agree... where it gets blatantly and systemically criminal is when to obscure this failure they also prevented anyone else present at the scene from making any attempt to aid or resuscitate Mr Floyd... Cops are absolutely trained to administer CPR themselves and if they had done (even just half-heartedly) there would be evidence of it. Bruised, cracked or even broken ribs are all very common signs that someone has had emergency chest compressions. There was however ample evidence they actively blocked the airway of an unconscious man for a sustained period of time 🙄 which is literally the exact opposite of CPR.

So what did the cops tell the 911 operator for their call for the paramedics? Did they not say they thought he was on something? I thought I heard one of the cops tell the paramedic that. Or did they just tell 911 that George was having a hard time breathing? Because the doctor said he did not know that there was any suspicion that he might be dying from drug induced reasoning. I find it hard to believe that a doctor would not have had any thought to that being the case. I would think that any doctor that had a patient coming in from an arrest scenario should automatically check that out first thing. I mean come on man... I bet 95% of all arrests the perpetrator has alcohol, meth, or some kind of drug in their blood system. It just goes with the territory.

Yes, but the doctor was very specific there, he said the paramedics did not say if the patient was displaying agitated behaviour prior to his cardiac arrest and agitation is or can be a sign of drug use. That's why the doctor was swayed to thinking cardiac arrest due to asphyxiation. The paramedics arrived after Floyd went into cardiac arrest and wouldn't have seen his behaviour prior to it. If there's evidence, video or otherwise of Floyd being extremely agitated, that will alter the doctors view on the potential cause of death. The doctor was used his language carefully and specified based on the information he had received. Obviously if he receives more information or different information, he comes to another conclusion or, he's less than 100% or 90% or 80% on the cause of death than he currently is.

Exactly. The doctor can certainly agree with the points that the defense made about how some drug interactions can mimic the effects of a cardiac arrest but they will NEVER be able to prove that these so-called drugs created these exact effects of a cardiac arrest, assuming that they were even in his system, which was unlikely. Now if George Floyd was, for example, being pursued by the police or in a panic situation like trying to get away, and THEN went into cardiac arrest, the case of certain drug interactions being the cause of it would perhaps have more credibility, provided it could be proven beyond a reasonable doubt that certain drugs were in his system. Instead, he had a KNEE on his neck which was proven by the ER doc after examination that this alone was the cause of his cardiac arrest due to asphyxiation. In other words, what are the exact odds of this cardiac arrest occurring due to (alledged) drug interactions only while at the same time, a knee was on his neck for almost 10 minutes? Sorry defense, I know you're trying to do your job, but your client Chauvin is a murderer.

But the official autopsy of George Floyd shows he died of heart and health complications, extreme hypertension and substance abuse intoxicants present in his system. George Floyd was not murdered, he died from his own life long health choices and other mental health issues. To me this shows the desparate need to rectify the four police officers imprisoned and improved police training on how to deal with perpetrators with substance abuse and mental health issues. Each city pricinct should have a mental health team available and trained how to calm these situations, treat the perpetrators with respect and safe and effective techniques to bring these crisis situations to a peaceful and postive outcome. I wish we could have saved George Floyd and treated his substance abuse problems and give him the mental care for the loss of his mother and other isdues in his life. George Floyd's life matters to me, but so do the four police officers now in jail for just trying to their job that they were trained for. I wish we lived in a land of social justice and equity and equal outcomes for all. But, the way I see it... Red, White and Blue lives do not matter as much as political power lives. If that was actually the defenses intention, it wasn’t an especially smart or careful move... They actually really should’ve wanted this guy in particular to offer additional information. If he had, the judge would’ve reprimanded or removed a key witness in addition to asking the jury to ignore either all or part of his rather damning testimony... which obviously would’ve been a slam dunk for their client’s case.

There's a reason "cardiac arrest" is never the cause of death or sole cause of death: there are always multiple factors that lead to cardiac arrest & those must be determined & reported on the autopsy or death report. Toxicology: I pulled the autopsy myself & it's worth noting that the amount of fentanyl & methamphetamine (in all of its forms) was half the amount indicated in recorded fentanyl deaths (both accidental & suicidal) so this theory bares no weight. Mr Floyd didn't need Narcan for this reason but mostly bc he was already dead 😑 I don't need an expert to tell me what I saw or why this man died a painfully tragic death as the world watched his life slip away on camera. I'm outraged at all the new stuff I'm hearing. Watching the video was the worst thing I ever seen. They're trying to put it on the drugs. I'm a recovering drug addict normally if you overdose it happens immediately. He didn't look bad in the video at the store. I couldn't do shit in my addiction. It was definitely the knee in the neck. I witnessed this happen to my nephew. My brother was crying, begging the cop to get off his son's neck. I was recording so I gave my brother my phone to continue recording while I literally pushed the cop off my nephews neck. His face was turning blue & he was saying he couldn't breathe. There was no need to have a knee in his neck. They already had him restrained. Cuffs on wrist & ankles with a chain connecting wrist to ankles. They carried him like a 6 pack with his face towards the ground. They threatened to take me too. I told them I didn't care, I wasn't going to let them kill my nephew. I also told the police that mental illness runs in my family, that my nephew needed real help. Turns out my nephew is a Schizophrenia, which can make you appear to be on drugs. Why does everyone want to blame everything on drugs?

This is wrong on so many levels. I couldn't believe what my eyes seen in that video. I literally stood in front of the television. I don't care if your doing drugs, I committing crimes, etc.. No police officer should have there knee in anyone's neck, especially when they aren't even moving. All I know is they better find the police officer guilty. I've had 2 different officers use excessive force on me, I had lots of witnesses. I had to go to hospital & have my ring finger pinned back together. My hand doesn't close completely & my finger doesn't go straight. I weighed 70 pounds & the cop looked like he weighed 250 pds. He didn't need to grab my hand so hard & fling me.
