This is a pretty poor representation of crypto. I found some counterpoints and corrections. 1) You can buy things with crypto. (ex: crypto credit cards) 2) ETH's value is so much more than NFTs. Gaming. DeFi. The future customer layer of all of the major B2C businesses, and the backend layer of B2B. 3) Not all crypto uses the same energy for processing. There are carbon-neutral projects out there. This should be mentioned if the energy consumption is being referenced as a negative.

@@dans2971 Paper money was invented in China as a token or certificate that represents how many copper coins you own because carrying 10kg of copper coins to buy materials or resources is too cumbersome. Gold is used as a standard for cash money because the time and energy spent on getting or creating gold is more than what it's worth. That's why gold was originally used as a standard for currency. It's a good stabiliser and retains the store in value of cash money a lot better.

It’s just as much of a scam as government money, all money is worthless. It only has value because of trust, same thing with crypto. Not saying crypto is good or bad, but it definitely can lead to some changes in the future and a fool would ignore it, it’s innovative and could become better over time or even inspire something else entirely that becomes crucial to daily life. History always repeats itself, and new technology is always met with foolish skepticism until people warm up to it and they learn what possibilities there are to be had with it. Digital currency that is decentralized definitely has promising possibilities and you should consider learning about it for good or bad.

Crypto produces nothing and will collapse big time at some point. It relies on buyers agreeing to pay an ever higher price for you to make money. At some point those buyers will not be there and the price will start to drop. Then the panic sets in and the early cash outs will make money. The rest (majority will be broke)
