There's an extremely interesting, informative video on youtube about the Admiral Kuznetsov. When under its own power, the heavy smoke makes everybody on it sick. A tug has to accompany it everywhere it goes due to its tendency to quit running. And the process of cutting it up for scrap may already have started. The Admiral Kuznetsov is their only carrier, I believe, and useless.

And no - unless you fail at elementary school mathematics the idea 1/3 of the Black Sea Fleet is taken out is just pure Ukrainian propaganda. (Of course for a country suffering invasion it's its government's duty to pump out propaganda to boost the morale - there is nothing wrong with Ukrainian propaganda except it's NOT a metrics of truth. ) The Black Sea Fleet is NOT crippled. The Black Sea Fleet lost its flag ship Moskou, a submarine, and two missile boats - that's the only four combat vessels actually "taken out". Additionally, six landing ships and one patrol boat (all being non-combat vessels minimally armed) were also destroyed. 13 other ships had been hit with less-than-fatal damages but were all subsequently repaired. If you keep track of the Black Fleet's casualty figures, which come not from the Kremlin but from pro-Ukraine Western sources, there is no ambiguity as to what the Russian fleet loses and what it doesn't. Of the 34 combatant vessels of the fleet, 4 are lost; of the 58 non-combatant vessels of the fleet, 6 are lost. (10+ vessels of both kinds are damaged but later repaired). 10 out of 92 - that's NOT 1/3 of the strength. (Russia's other three fleets, which together have 300+ ships, are not involved in the war.) Ukraine fought bravely and scored far more hits than anyone expected before the war. As a Canadian of partial Ukrainian descent I am proud of Ukraine's heroism and pray for its final victory. Russia's humiliation deserves some well-justified mockery. Still, enemies don't just vanish because of mockery. I think because the reporter is in Cuba, he was "suggested" by the Cuban goverment to use such words as "armada" and "hypersonic" so not to be throw out of the country. ( I am not picking on him. When I taught English in China, I did a lot of semi-subconscious censorship....I was after all, a guest, and I chose my fights. To be fair, every navy would have trouble defending against sea drones. That's just the new reality of naval warfare. Also, the reason they have ships to spare for excercises in Cuba is that the Black Sea transit is closed to military ships (Turkey does this because of an international agreement). So the Black Sea Fleet stay in the Black Sea they cannot get out. And the other Russian fleets cannot get into the Black Sea to reinforce the Black Sea Fleet.
