I swam open ocean with Bull sharks, about 20 of them at once, off the coast of Florida, and not once did I feel threatened. In clear water they can clearly see humans are large and not a distressed fish. This one would have been focused on the fish, not the human.

I was one of the "pioneers " in this form of fishing in Australia inthe late eighties. I never got into the same sort of strife as this guy but I got close enough to a number of sharks to call it quits and I stuck to freshwater. Having your bum below the water line with a big shark having a look around is for the birds.

It’s not good eating and dangerous to do catch and release. Furthermore, that is not a “giant” shark. Some people have death wishes I'm guessing, people feel the need to go surfing and kayaking in areas of the ocean where great white sharks and orcas are known to hang around, just last week a woman filmed herself in a kayak in Florida where she had to swat at a 8 ft alligator that kept swimming towards her , I saw a video in Krueger National Park where this guy is hanging out a car window to get a good picture of two lions only 10 ft away only to freak out when one of the lions jumps up growling and starts to approach the car and what a month ago a lady gets in trouble at a park in Montana because she decides to stand and let a mama grizzly bear and her two cubs get close enough that the mama bear charged at her instead of moving away with the other visitors. ....just stupid shit
