Felons also own firearms even though it is clearly against the law. The lack of enforcing existing law is disturbing because this shows that adding more laws will be useless. A child should have left that to the adults because they may have already called it’s not their place to call anyone. In the 80s without phones the adults were in charged if that. they have said 300 students should not be tying up the phone lines. The study of concerning behaviors of active shooters shows, let's be real when bulling in schools are a problem and this also includes staff that look the other way when a student tells them. Promote anti-bullying education and foster an inclusive school environment. Ensuring that students feel heard and supported can help address root causes and reduce these troubling behaviors.

Metal detectors, armed guards, arming teachers ... just bandaids on a gaping wound. Lawmakers could turn every school in America into the equivalent of a city jail or a prison with guards on every door, it will not stop the epidemic of gun violence in America. A "deputy at every school" will not stop school shootings; anybody who determines to carry out one of these massacres has EVERY advantage. Like in this situation: the shooter was a student at the school. Every kid on that campus who's at all interested will know the security cop's routine; they can make sure to be better armed than he/she is; crucially, they will have the element of surprise, and the first item on their "to do" list will be: "neutralize the armed guard". ALSO: if you turn every school in America into a maximum security prison, what have you done to the educational experience? I'll tell you what: it will be like going to high school in North Korea.
