I'm appalled at Don Lemon's line of questioning and his subtle victim blaming, "you put yourself in a position to be near him again". Don, she was a teenager and Bill Cosby was the adult. He has no one to blame for his alleged actions but himself and this is coming from a Cosby fan. Don Lemon you are so out of line, I hope someone calls him out on this.

Shutup with the victim blaming bullshit. People like you just want a world where any accusation is automatically true and unquestioned if it comes from a woman. Victim blaming is saying it's her fault, not asking her valid questions.

First off I would like to say that Bill Cosby is one of my favorite television personalities. 97 percent of rapist get away with it and never serve any time in prison, and 54 percent of rapes will never get reported. This is not something that is easy to prove which is why a rapist can get away with it easily, it's not like people are going to film themselves getting raped ( which is what people want for evidence) and people don't want to say they have been raped because of shame and fear of not being believed which is what is happening right now. Why should we put these people through more pain by calling them liars and gold diggers when they might have went through pain by being raped already. It's just part of our culture to blame the victim which is why these things will continue to happen ( I still do it most of the time but I'm trying not to).

The way she grins and shakes her head around, I mean really... I can honestly say I've never seen a TRUE rape victim grin while telling their experience to others. I find this story really hard to believe. I find most of these women's stories to be hard to believe. There's people here, saying that "oh their stories are all so similar it MUST be true!" which... doesn't add up. One hears someone else tell the story, why would they need to change it up to hop on the liars bandwagon? I'm not defending Cosby, and I'm not saying that what he's being accused of is impossible, but I find it extremely hard to believe, listening to these women confess. No matter the excuses given or the mental trauma they may or may not have gone through, there's no excuse to have waited THIS long and suddenly pop your head out like, "Oh, me too! I was raped too!" Let's be realistic, people. First off, it has been FAR too long for anything to be proven, which means that if he really has done this, unless he confesses, there will never be any proving it. The incredibly sad and disgusting fact of the matter is that there are MANY women who lie about being raped, because it's the EASIEST thing for a woman to do. Went to a party, had sex with someone you regret it with and want revenge? Cry rape. Nine times out of ten you will be successful in your pursuit to condemn a man for something they did not do. If these women were truly raped, then I really am sorry for them. But I have an incredibly difficult time feeling sympathy on the matter when not ONE of them decided to confess about this until other people came forth, out of the blue, to tell their so called stories. As a rape victim, I can truly say that no matter the extreme mental suffering that occurred when and after it had happened, nothing- and I mean *nothing* stopped me from calling the monster out right then and there. You would think that a victim of rape would be more eager to attempt and seek justice for the suffering they went through. Even with the fear of someone's fame causing a lack of justice over the situation, at least you could say that you TRIED to condemn a rapist instead of waiting THIS long and expecting people to simply fall in line and feel sympathetic for what you've allegedly gone through. If Cosby is guilty, I will be truly shocked, but I hope he gets what he deserves for such a sickening crime. However, as it stands, I'm not even the slightest bit inclined to believe these women unless some proper proof is thrown into the mix. The world is a dark place, and there are some demented, conniving people in the world who would say or do ANYTHING to get the results that they desire in a situation like this. Frankly, I don't know what would be worse. Cosby being guilty, or these women blatantly lying about being raped, and destroying a man's life, or at least what's left of it.

The comments I've seen on these videos are disgusting. This fucking IS NOT a black vs white issue. It's not a conservative vs liberal issue. And if you've done your research at all you should know it's not a bunch of women looking for money. And if you fucking know ANYTHING about 1) rape or 2) any fucking type of traumatic experience you would know it's common for people not to speak out due to shame, etc (although this doesn't really apply here, because, again, if you've done your research at all you'd know that the vast majority of these women accused cosby long ago). This is an issue regarding rape and how the United States views it. It's about how we all claim we find it reprehensible, then when somebody speaks out we chide them. We don't believe them. We say they're trying to get money. Why do you think people don't speak out? Because when they do, this is the fucking reaction they get. People call them a "lying bitch" or "she's only looking for money." Everybody who has taken Cosby's side has provided ZERO proof he's innocent. You really think thirteen women would all independently come up with similar stories of sexual assault about the same man? You realize how monumentally low the odds would have to be for him to be innocent at this point? Wake the fuck up.

For a while, I believed Cosby was guilty, but up until I looked at the actual interviews the accusers I noticed all the inconsistencies and lack of authenticity in their statements. Im sorry, its hard for me to believe that someone who is an "aspiring actress" would go back to their "rapist" house for the SECOND TIME AFTER BEING DRUGGED, soley base on fear. I've been in the industry for a couple of years now, and let me tell you, its a tough and competitive business. People are WILLING TO DO ANYTHING for a shot of fame, money and stardom. Thats the reality and people are will take any chance to achieve that. Can we say Ms. Bowman was manipulated? Yes. However Did she know what she wanted and knew how to get it? Absolutely.
@stevegcq
@stevegcq 9 жыл бұрын
+Giovanni G You think that Bowman was manipulated by Cosby. I think she was trying to manipulate Cosby with her mother pulling the strings. Bowman doesn't mention her mother; she is an only-child brought up by a single mother. Notice that no one ASKS about her mother, who she lived with the ENTIRE TIME she was seeing Cosby … for TWO YEARS. The Daily Mail writes: "Raised in Denver from age nine by her mother, Barbara soon began studying acting and modelling. By 13, she became a client of J.F. Images, Denver's top agency at the time. What began as a dream in 1985 with a private 'audition' for Cosby ended two years later." The Daily Mail mentions the mysterious Bowman mother, and writes: "Barbara said that because Cosby befriended her mother and grandparents, and even flew mom and daughter to Broadway shows, complete with limo treatment ...".
@stevegcq
@stevegcq 9 жыл бұрын
Barbara Bowman's mother probably instructed her daughter to leave mum out of all this. Her mother doesn't want to be involved and doesn't want media attention or fame. The most likely reason the media doesn’t ask about Barbara Bowman's mother is simple. Barbara Bowman (let’s call her BB) has given them instructions not to ask about her mother. The excuse will be that her mother feels responsible and ashamed at not helping her back in 1985-1987. But I think there is far more to it than that. I think her mother would have known everything that was going on - and giving BB much advice during her years of seeing Cosby. We really do need to know about BB’s mother to understand a large part of the story. I believe that when BB was a child, her mother separated from her father acrimoniously and her mother became annoyed and distrustful of men. Her father or mother or both may have had some serious faults or incompatibilities. A single mother who produced an angry woman like Barbara Bowman is a strong indication that Barbara grew up under a mother who was angry about her ex-partner. I believe she was a mother who instilled in her daughter a negative image of men. If true, she was brought up in an environment where males were not to be trusted. She is of the generation that has introduced third wave feminism, the myth of the patriarchy and myth of rape-culture. It’s clear that her mother was ambitious for Barbara because Barbara had her own agent at age 13. Her mother would have been the main person who made the decision for her daughter to meet Cosby.
@stevegcq
@stevegcq 9 жыл бұрын
When BB was spending time with Cosby, during the years 1985-1987, I think her mother was coaching her as to what to say, what to wear, how to behave etc. I believe mum was the coach and her daughter believed in the cause. My theory on the ‘cause’ comes later but it is easy to guess, a common and perfectly legal cause. I believe BB and her mother discussed each date with Cosby. After all, BB was living with her mother, BB is an only child and her mother is a single parent. I believe her mother was keen for Barbara to develop a relationship with Cosby. I don't think it was just to get a head start in the acting profession. Very few make it big in the acting profession. I believe that her mother was encouraging a much surer path to riches. If Cosby was drugging and raping Barbara - would MUM have just stayed silent for two years? Of course not. The bond between mother and daughter would have been close in their circumstances and I don’t think BB was about keeping secrets from her mother. The reason why the media are not inquisitive enough to question BB about her mother is because in the Internet age the media has very fierce competition. The media is willing to pay large amounts for an interview with a significant public drawcard and it is very important to placate such a person. In addition, many of the public have sympathy for women who claim victimhood and many would be angry if she was questioned in the manner of a prosecutor. Barbara has power with the media and she can stipulate conditions for her questioning. So what was the primary aim of BB’s mother and why did she allow her daughter to fraternise with a much older married man?
@stevegcq
@stevegcq 9 жыл бұрын
Women have won huge payouts from divorces/pregnancies with wealthy men in recent times. I believe Bowman's mother would have loved it if her daughter could get pregnant to a man like Cosby. This seems obvious to me and I wonder why this line of reasoning doesn’t exist more often in comments. BB's mother probably advised her daughter to give Cosby quality sex after convincing him she's on the pill. Mum's advice: marriage would be great, but most importantly, get pregnant. But Cosby knew about such women ... gold diggers had been chasing him for years. He made sure he DIDN'T get her pregnant. The affair had to end because Cosby would have learned to recognise a gold digger and I have no doubt she became more persistent, due to the instructions from her mother. It’s possible that Cosby led her along, enjoying the attention, but disallowing the passage of sperm. (For years, BB has ruminated over this, building up hatred that only a scorned woman could muster. There has to be a reason for the hatred she exudes.) We should think about the fact that BB said she tried to bring a case against Cosby prior to the Constand complaint. She said she was refused representation by attorneys because they didn’t take her seriously. Trying to argue that victims aren’t listened to. A huge feminist myth.
@ejmmc7803
@ejmmc7803 9 жыл бұрын
+Steve Madden From what I have observed, attorneys are desperate for a winnable case against a rich man. The attorneys BB saw years ago must have distrusted the circumstances with her mother. They would have felt that any Cosby defense attorney would have torn her case apart. Both BB and her mother would have been portrayed badly in a court. Her mother would have been made to look like she was using her daughter to feather her own nest. I believe the main person who put the brakes on BB’s quest to take Cosby to court would have been her mother. If BB was to take a man of medium wealth to court, she would win because that man would not be able to afford a decent defense. But Cosby could afford the best, he would get the message through to a jury. Any attorney who brought a case against Cosby would need to actually have a good case. Barbara Bowman failed in all respects. The affair with Cosby left a bad taste in BB's mouth. She tried to sue Cosby and failed, her mother continued to describe men as evil. As the years went by she probably remembered the chastisement from Cosby for her quest to get pregnant. The hatred built up to higher levels. Cosby is a great man who had a weakness for women, but he always treated them like a gentleman. Bowman is a no talent gold digger who now feels scorned, but she doesn't want to blame her mother or herself. She was an attractive only-child and felt entitled. Cosby taught her a lesson and the bitter taste of that lesson has consumed her. She has been empowered by third wave feminism and is probably deluded enough to actually believe she is in the right.

Lest we forget, The Cos had his illegitimate daughter thrown in federal prison after she approached him and asked for money. She did not jack him up like a hoodlum, she had a lawyer communicate with him, seeking money on the basis of back support or something, but also threatening to go to the tabloids apparently. So America's Favorite Dad went to the FBI, set her up, and had her prosecuted and convicted of extortion. Now keep that in mind when you wonder why none of these women went public with their accusations at the time of the assaults, this is the kind of hardball he plays with his own flesh and blood.

This new post-rape accusation game is incredibly dangerous to the rule of law. I imagine many narcissistic psychopaths (1% of the population) who also happen to be women are getting some great ideas on how to manipulate powerful men into giving them what they want after seeing how successful these women are in getting attention 20 years after the fact. New Rule: If a crime is committed against you and you don't feel it is important enough to prosecute, then you can't go ahead an accuse that person of a crime 20 years later. New Rule 2: If you make a false rape accusation, you receive the same sentence as a rapist. New Rule 3: Nobody who patronizes and fantasizes about what amounts to a kind of "permitted rape", or enjoys being dominated can sue a man for rape because they are seeking men who give them that experience. This side of the female psyche which has been unleashed lately is the height of hypocrisy. Women are playing strange games these days. Time for men to stand up as men and end them all.

she says it happened many times, so why did she keep going back, unless she was willing to keep being with him to further her acting career, also she never actually says he had sex with her, and it seems like every story I hear from these women first hand, is really weak, these women say they went to a Hollywood party with him where everyone was passing around drugs, and then they ended up waisted and went into a room with him, or went home with him, they are all women who wanted to be with him, new what they were getting into, and kept going back for more, I am not saying he is completely innocent, but I haven't heard one story yet that is a solid statement proving his guilt, and Cosby being with allot of women isn't a crime, and how many men have gotten women drunk to get laid, and how many women have pretended they don't remember anything to explain away their loose behavior, personally i am still waiting to hear someone with a strong statement against him, some real solid proof, and this women isn't it, and I heard another women say she went to a Hollywood party with him and got waisted and then he had sex with her, like thats never happened to anyone before, and another women who said he gave her wine and then he asked her to stand in front of a mirror, and he jerked off behind her, witch makes me think, if she was able to stand up while he was doing this, she couldn't of been that waisted, and if I hear 30 more stories and they are just as weak, then i am going to wonder If Cosby is getting accused by allot of women who regret letting themselves get high and having sex with him to further their careers, so for me Cosby is innocent until proven guilty, because this is America, and I will wait to hear some more stories that seem to keep coming out

In terms of famous & prominent men (or even not famous & prominent men but the likelihood of the following is certainly higher in that case), I think some women who are raped or sexually abused by men in some way come to believe that they “owe them their silence”, and that may contribute to them not coming forward straight away, or not coming forward at all. Perhaps because other people push that agenda on them due to the power those men exert in their “sphere of influence”, or because they are manipulated by those men being “nice” to them (1) before abusing them (2), or because of some gender-biased victim-blaming social reason where women feel as if they owe men their silence after being abused/raped by them, I’m not entirely sure but I’m certain such a twisted paradigm does exist. However, in my opinion when it comes to suffering wrongdoing in general - *you don’t owe anyone anything,* and certainly not your silence if you were raped or abused by someone, or if they breached your Trust in some way that resulted in sexual harm befalling you. You don’t owe anyone anything on a *social* level either, because I think in the case of people like Cosby that factor also played a large part in the women staying silent, in that they didn’t want to do a *perceived disservice* by society at large in coming forward with the Truth about their “beloved public icon”. Perhaps you owe something to *yourself* and other *prospective* victims whose suffering could be avoided by coming forward, but that is not to lay blame on any women for *not* doing so, given the surrounding circumstances (including media attention) which makes it extremely difficult. I think part of the reason is the legal system itself is corrupted in many societies, defence lawyers attack people’s character to tear apart their testimony, *even if* their character becomes damaged in some way as a *consequence* of suffering sexual trauma, so *the victims* often ask themselves - why bother putting myself through that ordeal having already suffered so much. Quite often whatever Truth that is brought forth is called “hearsay” because it cannot be “corroborated”, such is the nature of modern adversarial legal systems that the Truth is largely irrelevant and it’s all about making money anyway they can, and the more high profile the case the more money there is to be made. I’m not sure how it can be fixed, but perhaps lodge a case regardless and let the process take it’s course, and even if you lose you would have set a “personal precedent” against that individual. Then if it happens repeatedly there will be a *written record* of people lodging criminal cases against that individual, and one day if someone exercises their “right to vengeance” the law may incline to treat them more favourably (3). 1. Either being nice *specifically* to women in order to gain their Trust, as in the case of Cosby who very much befriended his victims before sexually abusing them, or even nice *generally* in terms of their social standing, and to an *extreme* degree in the case of Cosby as time went on because he developed a public persona of being “America’s dad” that made him immune to not just these grievous allegations but pretty much *any* form of criticism. I reckon the same applies to Jimmy Saville in the UK who was visiting hospitals and using the methodology of “being nice” (in my opinion) *specifically to* sexually abuse sick kids for many decades, and probably the same with other cases of abuse including the sexual abuse committed by priests, which by the way is not a recent phenomena but goes *back into the ages.* All of which is incredibly sick, twisted, manipulative, & disturbing, and the reason why no one should be viewed as “immune from prosecution”, especially for (supposedly) being “nice”. I think in many ways it’s as sick & twisted as the “sexual sadism” that drives the “archetypical rapist” which is also *incredibly* evil, with both constituting *predatory behaviour.* 2. Or even during the period of abuse and after in the case of Cosby who actually phoned some of his victims to make sure they’re doing okay, and even sent them flowers with incredibly twisted Life advice in some cases (given the nature & extent of his crimes), according to a documentary I watched about scandals *associated with* (but in this case probably not directly the fault of) the Playboy franchise. Perhaps that was (in part) a guilt-ridden attempt at self-redemption, but I think more than anything it was probably a means of trying to “cover up” what he had done *just in case* the women ever decided to gather up the *courage* necessary to pursue criminal charges against him. I think that courage, in addition to *support* from people around you (and the public at large) really is the *key* to coming forward if this or similar happens to you. On a side-note, I defended Playboy media as being somewhat acceptable and I still think it was at its *inception,* but it’s quite clear as time went on it became a “cesspool of sexual corruption” where powerful men banded together to sexually *exploit* women to various degrees, and I think in some cases even outright rape/abuse them, as is bound to be the case when you don’t *set standards* of what is acceptable behaviour from the outset. In one case their response to (at best) the “sexual seduction” of, and (at worst) the “sexual predation” of a 13yo by a movie producer within their “social clique” was that the culprit was wrong *only* in getting caught. With *neither* of those “sexual approaches” being in any way *acceptable* because the difference in *maturity* levels makes it pretty much *impossible* for someone at such a young age to *make a good decision.* Perhaps you could look at what happened to some of the women (not the 13yo) who were *exploited* there as “they should’ve seen it coming” from the outset, given the highly sexualised nature of that media franchise and what was generally *known* to be happening in the “Playboy Mansion”, and in some cases I think sex with prominent men is *why* women went into that environment. However, in many other cases I think a lot of women were simply young & naive, they were attracted to what *seemed* like a glamorous jet-setting “Life of Luxury”, but ended up becoming *objects* for the sexual satisfaction of prominent men. In any case, *none of them* who suffered would have seen the drugging, abuse, rape coming and stepped into such a place, anything sexual should always be *voluntary & consensual,* and I’m quite certain that oftentimes - *it wasn’t.* On another-side note, I think a lot of people don’t believe the extent of the sexual crimes committed by the priesthood in various societies and of various spiritual/religious background, especially in “second & third-world” countries for whatever reasons but it undoubtedly includes their tendency to be more “devout/pious” as a result of their impoverished status. I think they tend to view the priesthood *as a whole* with a great degree of respect for whatever good that they do in their societies, but the problem is that makes them view each single *individual* as if they are “above reproach”. Although that doesn’t make those members of the public “complicit” in those crimes, as sad as it may be I think that (in large part) *fuelled* the abuse for many centuries. On another side-note, I reckon the sexual abuse of women in particular is far worse in second & third-world countries simply because of the backward, repressive, & in many cases downright *misogynistic* views towards women in those societies, especially in the form of victim-blaming and their *tendency to disbelieve.* I’m not saying you should “believe all women” *immediately* as the “Me Too Movement” tends to suggest, because some of them *do* lie and good men go to prison on false charges more often than people think actually. However, in *all* societies I think the public should try to avoid that *tendency* to disbelieve, and instead try to adopt a very *even-minded* approach towards any such allegations until the facts are made *clear* in an impartial setting. I reckon Cosby’s outright rape of women (because he drugged them and there was *zero* consent), although obviously quite heinous in its “systemic” nature & deplorable in its own right, is just the “tip of the iceberg” when it comes to the sexual abuse of women by powerful men in society. In all cases the women being afraid/unwilling to come forward due to the personal repercussions from doing so, which society has to *neutralise* as far as possible. I reckon eliminating any tendency to disbelieve at a social level, but not establishing a tendency to believe either before all the facts are laid out, will go a *long* way towards achieving this. Changing *social attitudes* about women who have suffered sexual abuse, particularly around “slut-shaming” (in terms of manner of dress) and victim-blaming (in terms of supposedly “inviting” sexual contact) will also help. 3. I reckon whatever “gaps” exist out there in terms of these processes, including defects that become *ingrained* in the criminal justice systems over time, have to be “filled” in some way through “secondary measures”, such as the right to self-defence & the right to vengeance I mentioned previously. Bearing in mind the “criminal mind” tends to exploit these legal gaps in an “opportunistic” way, this should dramatically reduce the likelihood of such crimes being committed in the first place. That is because, although they may be able to escape *legal* justice due to *legal* “technicalities”, they won’t be able to escape “natural justice” at a more *personal* level if they engage in *egregious criminal behaviour* without suffering any negative consequences.

I framed the encounter with the 13yo in this way because the Wikipedia article says she doesn’t believe the culprit did anything wrong and to this day she views him favourably, so I can’t write it as if she was a victim *on the same level* as a “full on” rape victim. Maybe she was sexually abused in some way and her existence became sexually corrupted and she somehow found her way into the company of that “clique” by virtue of that corruption *combined with* the predatory desires of powerful men who sought out young girls for sexual gratification, or maybe she was just heavily into the film industry, or maybe she just found him sexually attractive, or maybe a combination of factors. I’m not entirely sure how she ended up in that environment, but in any case it’s obviously *totally wrong* because it’s *highly abnormal* for someone that young to have any such sexual interests at all, let alone to engage in sex with grown men, and you’re *taking advantage* of them by doing so. Just to clarify this was the case involving director Roman Polanski who fled the US, and the clique of men I think revolved around Playboy founder Hugh Hefner at its centre.
@roshanjay7
@roshanjay7 11 ай бұрын
The point about crimes of the priesthood going back into the ages is important because some of them in trying to shift blame believe all of these problems began after the “sexual revolution” in certain societies. In refusing to take responsibility, they believe this wouldn’t have happened if not for those social changes and people moving away from “traditional values” they mandate, ie. hardcore religious practice that tries to restrict any form of sexual freedom outside of marriage. But you’ll find that has had a minimal impact and this issue has existed since long back in various societies. The same concept applies for the Playboy franchise, a lot of people blame any form of sexual media for all sorts of horrors that have begun to occur in society including the proliferation of child pornography. Yes it may have contributed in the sense that before pornography was “not a thing” and now it is, but it’s primarily the fault of those individuals being unable to control their sexual desires and instead becoming severely corrupted by it. Bearing in mind, not all people who have seen grown women in a sexual setting end up *wanting to* see children in the same, but most certainly I think opening an “unrestricted doorway” into one can lead to the other.
@roshanjay7
@roshanjay7 11 ай бұрын
Actually, I reckon it’s not just the priesthood who try to shift blame in this way, but also some of their more “stubborn” supporters (or however else you want to describe their gross lack of sensitivity on this issue), who simply *can’t handle the Truth* about these diabolical crimes because of *religious pride* more than anything else. Not just in second & third world countries either, although (in my opinion) the problem of *refusing to believe* is undoubtedly worse there due to sheer *naivety* more than anything else, but also first world countries. Similar to the functioning of ethnic/racial pride, I reckon that inclines them to shift blame onto other people for all of these crimes, including Jewish people on some *insane* religious basis when it comes to the *most* psychotic amongst the Christians, because their religious mindset is simply that *twisted* by religious pride itself. That is not to condemn the *entire* religion and its followers, *most* of whom are good & decent people who embody the extreme opposite of these crimes, but those psychotic extremes are always trying to find a way to shift blame in order to “save face” in a religious sense, and *quite often* at the expense of everyone else.

On another side-note, I don’t think any religion where the priesthood were able to exert any measure of *power & control* over children is immune from this issue in the past & present (ie. pretty much all of them to varying degrees depending on how much *access* they had), & both in terms of the male & female priesthood. In addition to the *perception* of “moral virtue” they upheld in society, in many cases I think it was the fact that they seemed to be “nice” that made them Trusted, and sadly - that Trust itself became the *mechanism* by which they were able to rape/abuse at will, with no one inclining to believe they would act as such. Also, I’m pretty sure these victims also viewed themselves as “owing their silence” in some twisted way, perhaps in part due to the nature of the religious master/disciple relationship, ie. you do this for me and I’ll do this for you. I’m not entirely sure how it all *manifested* to result in the rape/abuse, but I’m certain they became *manipulated* into keeping silent because they felt as if they *owed* it as such to the individual religious practitioner *and* to the entire religion. Although, when it comes to religion I’m sure there was also just the outright fear of being ostracised by their religious community, the tendency of people within it to disbelieve any such complaints, the respected position the priesthood held in society, and also more *general* factors such as victim-blaming.

I'm sorry but she is rubbing me wrong. I wont say it didn't happen to her because Bill Cosby hasn't even spoke up for himself about this and other women have made these accusations. The way he responds (by not speaking) screams guilty and feeling ashamed. Now, what I think happened here is she knew Bill may have had some interest in her but she wrote it off to avoid extremely awkward situations and plus she knew she had an advantage with him helping her with her career. She had a career to pursue. She knew he could get her career off of the ground. I think Bill may have drugged her and had sex with her but she wrote it off for the simple fact she didn't want to jeopardize that opportunity for her career. I think after awhile she saw her career wasn't taking off and his "grooming" wasn't making a difference after allowing him to continue to "rape" her ( she mentioned in another interview he raped her twice), she decided to tell her agent. After her agent dismissed her, she decided to try an attorney who dismissed her as well. She could have went to the police if she really wanted justice. If she truly felt like this man was a disgusting rapist who didn't deserve to be admired and praised and wanted justice, she would have been stressed every possible way to get it. She would have gotten the word out to other women who might just be victimized by this man but no, this was about her career. She saw there wasn't much of a career for her so she wanted her fame one way or another and she was most likely agitated by the fact she allowed herself to be vulnerable around a "rapist" for nothing! She felt she did all of this for nothing. Time to go to the press. All of this "I was manipulated" crap is bullshit. She knew what she was doing. She decided her career was more valuable than a rapist being free to roam the streets to possibly prey on other people. That is what I don't like about some of these rape victims who claimed "no one would believe them". Trust in believe, I'm getting the word out. They also say they don't report because they don't want to be called a liar or whore. All of that doesn't matter when a rapist is free to roam the street and prey on other people. This may sound insensitive but i'm just being honest. It's a little selfish to just allow a rapist to have a clean reputation and roam the streets because you don't want a bad reputation.

The hardest thing for survivors of sexual abuse is to not be believed. It is harder than the abuse itself. That is why so many people don't come forward. I have counseled people of different races, econonic groups, ages, sexual orientations. I'm sure you have had a lot of counseling. It has taken a lot of bravery on your part to come forward. It seems you understand that people don't want to see "Dr. Huxtable" in that light. I'm utterly disgusted to read how many people think as soon as women speak up about rape they do it for the possibility of money from lawsuit. First of all, don't assume women speaking up about rape are lying. Secondly, rape cases RARELY judge in favour of the victim as it is difficult to prove, and so it is much more likely you end up loosing money from all the legal costs than receiving money from a successful lawsuit.

Interesting how a lot of his accusers were aspiring actresses going to his apartment or wherever to to get a job or a role. They went to sleep with this man voluntarily and when they didn't get what they wanted they're now jumping on the scandal to be vindictive. I have no sympathy for him because he slept around on his wife but these women with their "I was young and naive" bullshit is gettin' to be one big yawn.

Younger people are taken advantage a lot. When you get older, you are taken advantage less, because you have enough of life experience to tell yourself "Do not go to his hotel room; Do not drink from a glass or a cup without seeing where the drink came from; Don't go into a room with someone without backup or support....." I know these things. If you are older, you can see these things, too! If you are young or a teenager, you can not see these things!

While no one can know with absolute certainty if she is telling the truth or not simply by watching this interview, there are a few points that raise questions about the accuracy of her interview. I'd like to share with you some 'warning signs' that may indicate lying: *Eyes glazed over (consciously activating creative aspects of the brain) *Looking towards the left (creative portion of your brain is on the right side of your head, so you look the opposite way) *Intently staring at the person you're lying to (it's a subconscious attempt to intimidate them into believing you) *Too much detail (Liars tend to use excessive detail with the belief that if you know all that information you have to be telling the truth) *Shifty (moving around is a sign of being uncomfortable) *Protecting vital areas (covering areas like your face, chest, or genitalia is a sign of 'protecting' yourself so they can't tell you're lying) Please keep in mind that each of these on their own isn't a clear indicator of lying, but multiple instances of any of the things listed above points towards deception. Read this comment and rewatch the video.... Do you think she's being truthful? The only person I outright believe currently is Tamara Green (watch her interview to see my reasoning), and I could potentially believe Chelan if her lawyer didn't have her exaggerate and lie repeatedly. I believe Chelan was raped but doesn't know for sure if it was Bill Cosby. Please comment on this post and tell me your thoughts. I'd love an intellectual debate!

The rageaholics cosby rebuttal is gold. Sad thing is all it takes is some crocodile tears and people will believe anything certain women say. Most of the accusers were proven to be liars on a money grab.

Notice how she explains her account at Bill's brownstone in New York. She says that she had one glass of wine and that "... there were staffers there and the house was mingling with people." Then, when Don tries to clarify, he asks, "And, so, were you at his house at a dinner party or were you there to be with him...?" She then replies with, "I was there alone..." Doesn't add up.

Most of the victims have said that this man was a good man in their minds because he played a good father on television. It shows you how ignorant people are today! When I was young we never considered giving an award to Ward Clever. Because he did not exist! These women actually believed that Bill Cosby was a good family man and father because he played one on television! In addition you have a generation of people Who believe that reality television is, in fact real! Millions of people believe that reality television is true life! That's like believing that Lucille Ball and the cast of I Love Lucy were truly having those experiences that we saw on television! Or that cop shows like CSI are real! You know what? I have sympathy for these women, but for those of you who believe, that because Cosby played a good father on television, that he was qualified to be voted as "father of the year" I think you are dim witted!

Here's the deal. All of these women had agreed to "date" Cosby. Cosby was a married man. Cosby was a player. These women went to Cosby's place. All of these women knew Cosby was married. Cosby's wife absolutely knew that he got together with other women. Really. Believe me. Every woman can recognize when a man is seeing other women. Apparently she was OK with it. If these women chose to "date" a married man, they were every bit as "sleazy" as Cosby.

'Trying to have the story believed and heard' That sounds like a shitty wanna be fiction author, not a tape victim. I seriously believe this woman is a liar. All based on her interview here, I don't care about Bill Cosby, it's just too obvious how deceitful she is being here. She even has to ask herself 'why didn't I' so she can quickly make up a quick lie
