A brief history of Chinese in the Philippines So the Chinese people has been to the Philippine before the Spanish my questions is that we're they in slaved by the Spanish.

Not necessarily enslaved but they were heavily looked down upon by the Spaniards similarly to how they treated the local “Indios.” Remember that the Spaniards imposed a caste system wherein they were on top then the Mestizos (Fil-Spanish) were second and the rest were at the bottom. Fun fact: In Noli Me Tangere, the chinese were noticeably buried somewhere else and had their own cementery because they were considered lowly during those times.
