Good translation work. 鸿 at here doesn't mean 'wild goose' though, it means 'great/ profound'. There is an idiom in Chinese 大音希声 (The most astounding sound is not audible), the word 大音 has the similar meaning as 鸿音 here. The difference is that 鸿音 is usually within a Buddhism context because originally it is for describing the voice when Buddha is preaching the dharma. So ‘Grand Voice’ should be a more accurate title here.

if you feel the compulsion to show only one half of a dancer, please show her legs. But if you respect the dancer, show all of her body, as that is what she uses to deliver her art. Just put your camera stable in one place and let her be the protagonist.

Lyrics translated by AI (yeah it's kicking human butts): Sitting on a lotus, hands brushing the clouds, Ancient melodies linger, waiting for someone to listen. In the blood, a spiritual score, an unfinished ballad, Crossing over heavy mountains, towards the bright moon. Oh, wandering heart, A journey to the ends of the earth, A place of freedom, Where everything shall be let go. Play on, La ya yi ya yi ya yi ya, Yi ya yi ya yi ya la ya. The resounding melody carries my song, Is it fate, is it karma, is it enlightenment, is it confusion? The pipa plays my joy and sorrow, Whether intoxicated or sober, let it be. Clothed in yellow sand, hands holding rain, A desolate heart awaits the return of people. Carved on cave walls, endless songs, In the full moon's presence, praising heaven and earth. Oh, lost soul, Who is waiting here for him? A land of bliss, Searching for all the answers. Desert flowers, Blossom ya yi ya yi ya yi ya, Yi ya yi ya yi ya la ya. The resounding melody envelops my breath, Each grain of sand, every speck of dust, The desert is my cultivation. In the game "Nì Shuǐ Hán", Creating a prosperous era, Blooming countless lotus flowers, The flowers of the desert. Who will come and tell my story To him?

Hi Sheetal, this is a Chinese dance performance. Since China is a large country with many ethnicities, you may find various cultures and art with different regional characteristics, and this performance is inspired by the dances and costumes of Dunhuang along the ancient Silk Road. Hope this helps and do subscribe to our channel for more content on Chinese performing arts!

Totally agree. Chinese costume nowadays is so revealing like western cheap style showing tomach, chest, too much legs. Chinese people love belly dancing and bring that dance and revealing costumes on to the stage broadcasting to all families to all over China. The belly dancing dancers wear little clothes showing their underwear, showing their full chests, legs of the dancers, and their bodies dance with provocative moves. I saw a Chinese classical dance to describe one of the Chinese great beauties Xi Shi from 2000 years ago. The dancers wore Chinese traditional Hanfu costume, BUT it is so short that we can see all the skin, the tummy and belly button of the dancers. Oh my god... Chinese costume is no longer respectful and has lost all beautiful tradition respectful clothes. Chinese classical dance and costumes incorporate too much foreign styles that are not appropriate anymore.
@bhpct-btmt862810 ай бұрын
When Chinese dancers wear little clothes, showing underwear like costumes, showing chest, legs, tummy, belly button on TV showing everyone, young and old in China, this gives a wrong message to young children that irrespectful costume is the Chinese traditional costume and culture, and is loved and respected by everyone. That would so tragic.

Agree. I also notice that many Chinese people, men, women love to have tattoos. Tattoos were/are common practices of tribal groups. Are Chinese people regressing to adopt more tribal way of life and becoming tribal people? It's sad.
