Silent treatment is punishment. Its also designed to get out of the house to talk to or hang out w the new target. When Im getting to the truth of any matter.. he will slam the door and leave. They need to put distance between you and the truth. Its to make u stop bringing up their behavior. Check the phone bill.. chances are; theyre texting another target. And telling them you just did this or that. Future faking is def a HUGE problem. U may b working 2 jobs to save for a house and theyre over here blowing every dime on their hobby/sport just to watch you work hard to get NOTHING. Nothing is ALL you get from these clowns. He didn’t work n hour of overtime because he made 10$ per hour and I made over 200K. I got silent treatment all the time as punishment over fights he would start just before discovering his affairs.

I got discarded on my mother's birthday, which was less than three months after she died. I had to get a court order. I know how you feel. It's not you, it's them! My ex is an untreated, quiet, self-destructive borderline. They're narcissists as well. Her dumb ass brother come to my home afterward and got beat until my hands became numb, and was promptly sent off to prison.

One day as a narcissist was drinking coffee at my dining room table..i suddenly saw that he thinks he's blessing me by allowing me to sit in his presence. That's what he perceives as giving to me.. me paying attention to him sitting in his presence watching him drink his coffee actually my coffee, at my table, in my house.. hahaha! Then up and out the door he goes.

I saw this coming like a freight train with my BPD (she had Covert Narcissistic Traits as one of five dissociative identities). It was painful, but I broke off the relationship during the devaluation (it is debatable if I was already discarded). At the end, the silent treatment, gaslighting and blame-shifting was all part of it. The good news (I felt bad about it at the time) was that "I was brutal" in ending it. I simply said "Goodbye great friend". Flipped her out. Her new boyfriend (my replacement) only lasted another six months before he dumped her too...…..poetic justice. Thanks, you explain it so well.

Having said that I want to state that I did not get depressed from not knowing "why" she destroyed the relationship. It's a spiritual strength to not need to know why. If anyone out there is having trouble with the "why" or needing closure I suggest getting into your spiritual conception with all your being. Wow, you hit the nail on the head so precisely there. The grand finale discard happened right before we were supposed to go to a foreign country that I'd never been to before for Christmas. I had spent six months learning the local language because I was so excited for the trip. The discard happened days before we were supposed to depart leaving me alone, in a foreign country I moved to to help her career, with no family or support structure, for the entire holiday season.

I needed to see this😭 My husband has been saying, I’m done with you and pulls the divorce card any time I wanted to talk about the relationship. He walks out/away from me and literally walked out on me on Valentine’s Day. It’s so painful because I moved out with my daughter then he took all my belongings and put them outside and in someone else’s lawn and changed the locks. This is the first time i realized what narcissists are.... I've been discarded in three relationships till now... bu the last one was traumatic to the core.... I got the silent treatment for over 6 months, mood swings, lack of attention, made me feel worthless... trying to fix the problem, being affectionate gentle, kind.... Helping her with money... I was already in depressed state.... I tried to reason... no positive results.... In less than a week she went with someone else and discarded me very sudden. Nothing made sense... Nothing... i started to loose weight, fell in a deep depression with anxiety, panic attacks and nightmares... even went to a shrink, got medication. I tried to reason with her till she broke any contact with me. I tried to make sense... but i could't. I feel emotionally crippled... I actually found out i went in all her stages from idealization do devalue and the discard grand finale... Its been almost three months since she discarded me and my brain can't make sense of it. How someone can pretend for 3 years and a half to be your perfect match ? and the suddenly get bored, discard everything said, done and leave? These people shoul not be real... I can't believe these people are real and that i am like a magnet to them. How can you reach to the conclusion that some people are narcissists when everything goes so right and smooth at the beginning? We had 3 beautiful years where she seemed very happy and afectionate and then a sudden change of mind... These people should not be real...

My ex nar discarded me twice, the first time was because I didn’t text him for 12 hours and he said god wants us to break up, the second discard was after I called him out and criticized him. He again said god wants us to break up. Then he refused to see me, only email. He said he will pray for me and I should see a counselor for my depression. The fact that he hurts me so badly was never mentioned.

These videos truly blow my fucking mind. I met her and thought she was the sweetest thing to walk the earth, beautiful, amazing. She was wonderful in the beginning, everything I’ve ever wanted. She did the whole feel bad for me while I tell you everyone abused me my whole life deal and I FELL FOR IT. Year or so later and the silent treatment starts - out of NOWHERE. For no reason, no fights, no arguments, nothing. She’d come back and I was just happy to have her back. I attributed it to her past and how she dealt with things. The future faking started and I always felt uneasy about it because she didn’t seem serious. In October I started to reflect and it’s like I walked right up to her and slipped her mask off. I saw how selfish she was, how helpless she made me feel sometimes when just ignoring me, how it’s always her way, she’s never wrong, she never apologizes, never takes responsibility. And I hated what I saw. I didn’t wanna believe it. I pulled back from her and stop giving her as much attention. Shortly after she tells me she thinks she pregnant but doesn’t keep me updated so I pull back further. What does she do? She calls me out on being weird. I tell her why I’m unhappy and that she’s hurt me. She tells me why she’s unhappy too (BS reasons). We talk it out and she comes over. Pretends everything’s great and that we’ll work on it. She leaves and I never saw her again. Just fucking ghosted me 100%. Shes back with her ex who “treated her so poorly” and she’s fucking pregnant. Not even 4 months later. Just discarded of me like trash. Still has a firearm of mine and a key to my place. Her stuff is still here as well. These people are absolutely fucking despicable & it makes me sick.

We had three kids together and he was able to get away w/ a great deal of lowdown deeds because he was away in the Army. During our marriage, he had three kids by three different women. Discarded them all state to state. Never seemed to truly care for his outside kids. Gave me money when he was away as a form of love bombing and keeping me hanging on. He was jealous when I lost weight as a surprise for him when he returned from Iraq... He came back w/ PTSD and a new affair w/ several different women. Got mad on Easter while home on leave and his mistress tracked him down to our home. He took her to our sons baseball game ---he was about 10 years old at the time. Told my son not to tell me he brought his woman. The woman demanded he leave the state w/ her. So, he drops our son at his sister's house and leaves him.. Now, you have discarded your own son and family. After being gone over a year, you come home for 2 days and leave because a new woman demands you be w/ her over your family. What a lowdown mf. I was livid! This is only a drop of what he did... I have stories for days. I was young, dumb, and in love. I had no idea about narcissism at the time. After more than 20 years and 3 kids later, I now know why it was so hard to leave.. Being a southern girl, I was taught to stay w/ a man even if he was treating you halfway right. You stick it out through thick and thin. I married forever, but he was actually never committed. I cooked, cleaned, and managed to earn two degrees while working when I was in my late twenties. sarah jenkins He did me the same way. He was so mean to me the week before Valentine's Day. We had already made plans then boom I could tell the discard was coming. So when he tried to down grade me from first supply. I told him it was over and I could see right through him. I told him he was gaslighting me and that I know he's a narcissist, manipulative, and selfish. That was February 4 and I haven't heard from him since. I don't expect to hear from because now he knows I know the truth about him.

This is literally exactly what happened when I discovered my ex’s affair. And that’s how I felt, too: discarded. Just thrown away like a piece of trash. After telling me for weeks that he wanted to spend his life with me, he ended things with me at a Mother’s Day brunch in a botanical garden. He just said out of the blue “I don’t know what I want.” I didn’t say much. He never even said he was sorry. I found out later from his Ex that he called her a couple of hours after he dropped me off and told her “I’m sorry I was never there for you.” Nice.

Yes the last time I discarded him first and he came back to discard me back. He called the police on me at my own house after I caught HIM cheating. After he showed up on my doorstep & begged me to let him come back tho. Yes, lies upon lies upon lies. I was caught up in the love bombing and still...there are times I still don't want to believe it was possible that it was all a lie. The silence treatments were the most devastating things he did to me. Not once or twice... but dozens of times. When he blocked me from all media, silenced me from everything. Once, he came back to me after 2 weeks, in the meantime, I had been weeping and weeping - no idea where he was, what he was doing, whether he'd be back. Suddenly he comes back. And as usual, (stupid me), I took him back. He then tells me, I missed you so much, (he had blocked me), I missed you I can't be without you...then he says....oh, you know, yesterday I went to the movies with X. (female). What? I said...I was here crying my heart out, hoping you'd be back, and you went to the movies with her? And then you call me the next day and you say you miss me? BS!!
