Many head coaches have egos and say stupid side comments sometimes but this guy, I would love to play for this guy. On Thursday night this message became reality. Really it was since they went on the run last year but that was a statement game. I don't care what anyone has to say. A win is a win and they beat a super bowl champ in their house. The Defense is miles ahead of where it was last year. Brad Holmes deserves GM of the year and I hope Dan wins coach of the year. GRIT has replaced SOL. You know what I love about this team the most? They do not quit. Dan and Brad have drafted and cultivated a culture of not giving up and winning. Even when they are down their message is the same: GRIT; Tread that game water until they drown or you get beat. But they never stop until the final whistle blows. As an opponent I would hate playing them. Because you know for 60 minutes they will not go down quiet. They will come out and go down swinging.
@mattverville92279 ай бұрын
we got dawgs. not talent. obviously we have talent but we put charactor in front. You will not be on this team if you dont have charactor with talent. We dont want guys like Deandre hopkins. Hopkins came out and said that we didnt want him. Thats because hes ultra talented but not the correct charactor. I love brad holmes. I love dan campbell but brad holmes is my guy. Hes building this team through the draft and were enhancing with well spent money in free agency. Hes got one more test, lets see how he resigns some of this talent. If he messes this part up and lets the wrong guy walk or over pays for a guy that quits producing we could get in trouble. As of right now i would take him over any gm in the nfl
@Charleybones9 ай бұрын
@@mattverville9227 good points. If BH wants to keep the team we have together, he will need to re-sign Gardner-Johnson at the end of this season to a $$$ multi-year deal. I expect if he does this, he will need to let TRacay Walker go, since we have Branch for another 3 years. Next season there will be some very important decisions to make. Penei will be in his 4th season of his rookie deal, and I expect the Lions will make him the highest paid OLineman in the history of the game. And they need to do that for him. He is the core of this team and a generational talent. Then we need to re-sign Amon Ra, who also deserves top 5 WR money. Goff is going to need to be paid too. That is big money coming up. Since the Lions have at least $20mil left top spend this season, I wonder if BH don't use some of this years extra cap money to work out an extension for extend Goff for another 3 year deal. Or to put the money toward re-signing CGJ. Based upon the success of some of these guys on the roster, the Lions are going to need to spend a lot of money in order to keep these core players together. Based upon the age and talent of this team, the Lions have a 2-3 window in order to get to the big dance with the team they have on this field right now. And if they draft as well next year, that window should keep rolling forward, which I must assume is the plan.This team is competitive with anyone right now.

FA will want to play for this team with the owner, GM and coach they have now. I see the players will go though a wall for this coach they like him this much They went into KC and beat the Chiefs the SB champs what a statement win I would not want to play this team this year every home game will be a sellout The Defence they are building is one of the scariest I've seen since the Leigion of Boom The Lions will win the NFC North this year and will win more then 9 games this year I think also The owner Sheila Hamp did the right thing and did not just a football rebuild but a culture rebuild which the Lions really needed to really turn this team around the right way

And I have been detailed researched this team. This is the future format of the team Goff went to the super bowl with. The fact is Gurley as one player was split into two backs. And we aren't a zone run we are a power run team. Which allows us to really focus on those things. I called this the second he and Holmes were hired. And Holmes said Goff was the guy. Little by little it'll show. And at full throttle will be with jamo.

"If a Lion finds itself in the ocean in 20-foot waves, i'm assuming it's off the coast of South Africa coming up against a full grown 800-pound tuna with 20 or 30 of his friends, you lose that battle you lose that battle nine times out of ten. And guess what you've wandered into our school of tuna and we now have a taste of Lion. We've talked to ourselves, we've communicated, and said, you know what? Lion tastes good. Let's go get some more lion. We've developed a system to establish a beachhead and aggressively hunt you and your family. We will corner you and your pride, your children. We will construct a series of breathing apparatus with kelp we will be able to trap certain amounts of oxygen. It's not going to be days at a time but an hour, hour 45, no problem. That will give us enough time to figure out where you live, go back to the sea get more oxygen, and then stalk you. You just lost your own game. You were outgunned and outmanned."
