You snagged the best color in my opinion (the burnished finish is not for me so I got a base color)! The leather isn’t quite up to Birkin quality (most Birkins are also not in smooth leathers so it’s comparing apples to oranges - I literally got both bags in the same week). Still, the empire is a great bag at a great price and glad you’re enjoying it.

Hi! I chose the 40 because I thought it would be more versatile for everyday use. Also, while the 40 is a great size, it can get heavy, so I imagine the 48 would be heavier. However, being tall does have its advantages, and we can certainly rock both sizes, so it really is a matter of preference. With this masterpiece, you probably can’t go wrong either way!😃

Hi! I’m not sure but it definitely has some weight to it. Thank goodness it has a thick strap for ease of carrying when the bag is packed. I think as an everyday bag, it would be fine but packing it for work or travel, it could get heavy. Fortunately, carrying it for work or travel would be for short periods of time, as opposed to more extended periods. Thanks for watching!
