Bucky Luck Ok... But, although my name sounds Jewish, it Aramaean in case you assumed that. Syrian Aramaean, so we aren't even friends. Anyways, it's the security industrial complex that makes money from these shootings. Like the military industrial complex gets rich from wars. This is not even economically viable in the 21st century and very immoral.

I'm from Hurricane, West Virginia....this man, Coach May, was the head football coach at Hurricane High School throughout my duration as a student there...he left for this current opportunity shortly after I graduated in 2008...haven't seen him since....now I'm watching him sit across from Anderson Cooper on CNN, trying to put into words the chaos and tragedy he experienced that day. its unfathomable on so many levels. The widespread pain that incidents like this reach, cannot be put into perspective. Stay strong MSDHS.

Personally, I don't understand why young people don't create their own "Me Too" movement and start an assertive, national school boycott until the laws are changed. Just refuse to go to school...PERIOD. Stay out of school. As long as it takes.

Allen Estrada I think they're off to a great start. I sincere believe these young people need to be willing to really sit out of school as long as it takes. The whole country of young people. If every American high school refused to go to school until real change was made, it would get done. When I was young, we did it at our mega church because those under 18 had no voice. We wanted a voting elder of our age. They said no. So, we organized and ALL quit going to church. Even some of the junior high and elementary kids jumped on board. Some kids took spankings for not going to church (that's messed up). Well, we won. We took inspiration from MLK Jr and got it done.

My father is a war veteran. We were taught guns were for war & there was never one in our home. My favorite teacher, who was popular with both students and staff, was murdered almost 5 decades ago, a time when shootings in "good neighborhoods" and even "bad neighborhoods" were much more rare. There were less guns & M-16's or their equivalent were not owned by civilians. Thank God it was not a mass school murder or in front of his students. I am now older than he was. It has never stopped bothering me yet I didn't even have the risk of PTSD. I have never forgotten and these kids certainly won't.

These teachers died True Heroes, giving their lives to save their students or at least try, they showed more courage than the ARMED & TRAINED on duty deputy that day: Aaron Feis, Scott Beigel, Chris Hixon...they should have areas of the school named after them and memorials erected. Such bravery & the ultimate sacrifice. 🙌🏼 They tried to & saved many lives that day. Those Parents can hug their children that survived because of them.

Im pretty sure every school practice codes, I just think that it happens when you least expect it to, I mean who would ever think something like this would happen on Valentine day, just think about it everyone who lost somebody during this tough time, has to go on with their life telling a story how they lost a loved one on Valentine's Day. That's very tough to deal with, Valentines Day out of all days! that's the day of love not the day that you would expect or would want to lose somebody or anybody whatsoever.

Security guards at the school should have guns to stop the situation from ever happening again. Embracing the US Constitution is the solution to stopping this problem from ever happening again. Creating gun laws won't stop crazy people. People need to use their common sense. Crazy people with guns won't obey the law but good people will obey the law leaving themselves completely unarmed and vulnerable. Long story short good people with guns stop bad people from doing bad things and gun laws don't work. God bless and I wish this coach inner peace.

I'm very iffy on that. While there are some people I work with that I'd trust with a gun, work with small children who shoot people in video games all night when they get home. The last thing we need is someone having a loaded gun around curious kids who haven't learned anything about gun safety. I'd much rather have a law enforcement officer or two assigned to my campus than have the teachers themselves armed.
