Well, I’m just going to say it flat out. I know it’s only been two games, but I have total confidence that Mason Rudolph should be the number one quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The name of the game is scoring points, and in two games with Mason at quarterback, the Steelers have averaged 32 points a game. That is double what Kenny Pickett is averaging. I think Mike Tomlin needs to re-evaluate the quarterback situation and Mason Rudolph should be the number one and Pickett should be the number two. I think they should give the reins to Mason Rudolph and let him run with it. If he screws up then give it back to Kenny but I don’t believe he will screw it up. I really believe that Mason Rudolph should be the Steelers quarterback for the next 10 years

I'm okay with him staying QB1 for the remaining of the season. But they will both have to earn it in the off-season. Mason has EVERYTHING to play for (contract, career, etc) right now. He leveled the field in the QB locker room. I am rooting for him and hope he carried this Nick Foles energy deep into the p oil playoffs. Fingers crossed for Miami to pull one off

The organization looks bad bc they signed Mitch and resigned him. They wasted a 1st round pick on Kenny Pickett when they passed on Oline prospects. They could have just played Mason for a year and waited for a deeper QB draft class. They never consider Mason even if he had the best preseason numbers.

EXACTLY!!! Tomlin spending too much time enjoying getting his ass kissed by Pickett during his college season when they share the same practice facilities.......Tomlin's ego is so big he loves getting sucked up to and so drafts a huge ass kisser instead of going for a prospect that would actually help the team....like you say, an OL ....like the one the Ravens took at Center which is who we should have taken.......They could sign Mitch and simply make him the back up and don't forget there was another QB still on the roster that was tragically hit by a truck and killed in Florida while attending a Mitch party weekend........so there was that guy as well....who knows, had that guy not gotten killed Rudolph might have been cut???? as I believe they still would have drafted Pickett whether that guy died or not.....

@@trevorregay9283 Don't forget Kevin Colbert. We can't let him off the hook either. There is no way he should have had any draft input when he was leaving his position. Omar Kahn should have been making the draft decisions for future QB and Oline. Colbert had to get a QB before he left was a disaster. when you consider the picks that he has made last few years. Kahn has been a better decision maker in FA and the draft so far.

Mason has been overlooked. It’s about time he gets some opportunities to show how far he’s come. I saw it even two years ago at training camp and can’t understand why he has been benched so long. He can handle the pressure and is simply calm and able to see the field better than anyone currently in the quarterback room.

Tomlin never gave Mason the praise or recognition he deserved. Seemed obvious years ago, that whatever his personal reasons, Tomlin wasn't in favor of Mason. Ive always been in Mason's corner and hate to see him go elsewhere, but im hoping after these splash games another team will grab Mason so he can be on a team that appreciates him.

The guy seems like he’s had a hard on for Rudolph ever since the racial lie that Myles Garrett threw out there trying to justify his actions for assaulting Mason. Maybe mediocre Mike believes Garrett’s bullshit against Rudolph 🤷🏼 I honestly can’t think of any other reason he’s never given a legitimate chance of being the starter after Roethlisberger retired. He outplayed both Kenny and Mitch in preseason in 22 and 23 and relegated to a 3rd string inactive role basically for 2 straight seasons. I wish him luck next week in continued success and if the Steeler’s don’t see him in their plans next year I hope his play can get him a shot elsewhere where he may feel a little more appreciated from a head coach.

Mason Rudolph is making Tomlin decision making look bad he has been starting the wrong QB. Mason is not prefect but he is making Trubisky decision to even sign him look real bad and to start him over Mason when Pickett got hurt not real smart, just think of it those 3 game they lost if the would of won their record would be 12 and 4 going into the last game playing for the division and the number 1 in the AFC playoff.

To admit that an organization screwed up significantly to the point that the season has all but gone down the drain, to acknowledge that someone is in a contract year and may become a free agent, therefore will have significant bargaining power, to state the fact that the O-Line has been playing like trash for most of the season up until, the past few games, to state that Steelers have significant TE issues, when Steelers haven't gotten significant progress at that position for the past several years. Finally, to say that this entire season has been done on the fly and that it's been not only the past two games, that we as fans have seen any significant progress on offense or in the running game. Is asking way too much, for a head coach that wants to keep his job despite the obvious. Tomlin's remaining pressors will be: Less talk more action and better results. AKA: it has been put up or shut up time for the past 3 weeks and beyond next week.

Because Coach Mike Tomlin is insecure and is unable to admit that he’s not made the best decisions and it just so happens that MASON Rudolph is a great stand-up Christian guy who is humbled himself and that doesn’t do too well with a guy like Mike Tomlin, who needs to put on an act with all these big sayings and words and it’s difficult for him. You are another Kenny LOVER,Kenny got Canada fired because he can't read but one side of the field and that's the knock on him and opponents knew this thats why the Steelers could not run the ball because defenses stacked the line of scrimmage. Do your due diligence and read the scouting reports or Kenny's Bio coming out of Pitt, let me help you , it said that in college he ran an offense where he was asked only to read one side of the field instead of the entire field so he never learned to read or go through progressions that were from left to right but the casual fan falls in love with a player and fails to understand what goes on underneath the surface. Kenny rode a defense that knew it had to keep games in the teens in order to have a chance and if they had a off day as we saw several times then the Steelers had no chance at competing because Kenny is pedestrian. Up until Mason took over the Steelers were averaging less points per game after Canada's firing so clearly Canada wasn't the problem but he lost his job because of incompetent quaterback play and the players on the team won't say it out loud but in a round about way they have expressed that Mason is the better quaterback and they knew this from the beginning but hoped that they could win with Kenny

Tomlin kept sticking with Mitch Trubisky Why? Because he’s stuck in his own tried and failed mantra. He makes changes at a snails pace. He is the reason they’re not in the drivers seat for a playoff berth. Losing to two 2-10 teams at home no less. Inept is too kind of a word. Both Pickett and Trubisky have happy feet and play scared. Just like Tomlin coaches SCARED . Rudolph stands in the pocket. Each and every year his footwork has progressed . He misses some open guys but Atleast he doesn’t bail on the play after the first read. I knew he would drag his feet to put Rudolph out there because he thinks he coaches by feel and it’s the way. It’s not and they yearly have to make up for his poor decision making.

Or you want him to fan the flames of all this Rudolph hype, so that Mason can complain about... STILL BEING 3RD STRING, and demands more money than the Rooney's would never pay for and then he leaves? His contract is up, I think this year or next. So dumb. And when have you ever heard Mike Tomlin be anything more than modest, bordering on reserved? He's rivaled only by Belichick on that regard.

Its tough because Kenny has been under a matt canada offense the whole season. So comparing his early games to rudolphs isn't fair. Kenny has had one full game without Canada and it was also a 400 yard offense game. Then he got injured and we got stuck with trubisky. I remember being hyped for rudolph when Ben had covid. But I also remember him having more turn overs than TD.
