Good coaches develop good players and create game plans that make them look good. There are far bigger issues with the organization than quarterback and it starts at the top.

I'm betting the Steelers send him packing at the end of this season. I'm a Colts fan so I'm not sure of his contract but I think he has one year left. The Steelers sent Chuck Knoll packing with time left on his contract. I don't think any team will trade any draft picks for Tomlin. I may be wrong but I doubt it. Just like Belichick. He doesn't want to change with this evolving league and I believe he doesn't think he needs to. That marriage is over. End of an era. Belichick has sucked without Brady. But you couldn't even hardly tackle Brady without getting a penalty. He was too protected by the NFL and the refs. Bill is an excellent defensive coordinator, a good coach, and a poor GM. He just can't bring home the groceries as Bill Parcels once put it.

Tomlin is going to get extended because there aren't great options based on the years prior. Firing Tomlin means paying him for next year. Not firing him means extending him at least 1 more year. Pickett is another Zach Wilson/Mac Jones ... This team is headed for a cliff and I don't think the existing management and ownership are skilled enough to navigate it.

Your QB room is why they are losing now. The def won 6 of the 7 games that we won this year and it took 3 straight losses to the worst teams in the league and a wupin from an avg team to see it. If we had the def from 2014 this team would be neck and neck with Carolina this year.

But he was not played to his potential. He had another Superbowl in him if somebody would have brought it out.

I don’t care which of those 3 QB’s start, they’re all horrid. There isn’t another NFL team taking any of those 3. It is my bet Trubisky will be out of the league at the end of the season, likewise Rudolph. Pickett may last one more season because the Steelers are reluctant to admit the mistake in drafting him. But, they (Steelers) would be best served by going after Kyler Murray. Dynamic QB who can read defenses, pass & run. With those WR’s & RB’s the Steelers may compete for a SB again. Just saying….

I share your "feels" on everything except Pickett. I think an (off season) with a (good O.C.) will see him a powerhouse. He does all the right things that "need" to be without any "second thought". I am talking about "protecting the ball". And NOT taking a chance when he is not (100%). And when he is (100%), he puts it right there. On target. He just needs a better (playbook). He will shine.

What else is a run of the mill average NFL coach going to say about their production. A guy like this shows consistency with getting beat by a better coach. Just a piss poor coach, there is no better way of putting it. This season is proof that Tomlin can't coach a team that can beat a good team, can't coach a team that is middling, and can't coach a team that has a horrendous record. How is that for consistency. I think the citizens of (Pittsburgh) and the other people from (around the country) have been a better coach than MT has. (WE) have fired Canada every year for the last 3. And (WE) are the ones who demanded we Start Rodolph. Although, in both cases we were originally met with opposition. The (powers that be) eventually agreed we US. And now, the team is expected to dig it's way out of the hole the (powers that be) put us into. I can fly with that, IF. It will be acceptable in my heart, IF, the (powers that be) learn from this.
