Gustafsson and Svidler was the golden age of commentary.

Couldn’t agree more! Svidler and Danya to me, with Judit and Jan right after them, are my favorite commentators. Shame you don’t see much of Jan or Svidler commentating anymore.

Incredibly interesting! His parents must have such a solid relationship - I'm sure the entire family learned wonderful coping and life skills on that long boat ride.

great interview, good questions! Friendly advice, not critique tho, try to cut ahm..hmm..etc from your sentneces and you will get to another level. Trust me. People practice that to get better communicators. I wish you interview HANS!

Why would two people talking to each other over the table wear headphones?
@MustreaderChess2 ай бұрын
To be able to control that the audio recording is going smoothly. That's why most OG podcasters record in this way, and it's turned into a habit for me, hosting my own radio programs and podcasts since January 2018. Although I now have a team and technically don't necessarily need the headphones (unless only to double-check)
@ChessAndWater2 ай бұрын
Thanks. It somehow looks weird, especially when there are mics on the table. Funnily enough I watched another podcast with a similar setup right after. The others I usually watch only have mics (and way too many cameras I guess).
@MustreaderChess2 ай бұрын
@@ChessAndWater I agree, that’s why I often record without the headphones!
