Unfortunately all performances on the singer, and most singing shows, are indeed edited. But that said if you watch fan cams and other vids that clearly weren't edited you can tell he doesn't need it! He is fully capable of singing everything in this performance so it sucks these shows feel the need to alter the sound before releasing it but thats the sad truth about singing shows =/

Agree that the D8 he's doing by inhaling (seen him hold it for five seconds 🤔, that's got to hurt like ... ) So "just like that" .. not in my opinion. But he makes it look effortless. I think he's hiding his neck every time right before the D8 is delivered/done(hard to call it song. It's inverted screaming 😉👍😊 ) Dimash is not good at pronunciation of the English language that's needed to copy properly, which is pulling the performance down! Don't you think, or ...

In 2017, Dimash was the first contestant on stage for the TV show "I Am Singer 2017". He was an unknown 22 year old man from Kazakhstan (formally part of USSR), who went on the Chinese singing show and sang a French song. He was a "wildcard" contestant, but this made him an overnight success after over 600,000,000 people in China saw the broadcast, and it started his worldwide career. The 500 member audience are all professionals in the music industry, and are the judges for the show. The people you see backstage are the other contestants. For this show, the singers had to be invited to participate. The rules of the show made it so that the winner had to be Chinese, but after 2017, they changed the rules. Dimash didn't need the win though, he just needed the opportunity.

Dimash is a classically trained musician. He started at the age of five. He can play several music instruments. He composes and arranges songs too. Dimash is tenor, bass, baritone, soprano and more.....all in one. D6 is too normal a note for him. Search for his extreme singing videos on YT and you get what the hyped about Dimash is all about. Don't just watch one episode. Watch ALL the episodes of Dimash in I'm A Singer 2017. And this reality show is only for established professional singers with at least one professional award.....not for amateurs. And Dimash don't just sing. Btw his face looked relaxed but if you see his throat... you can see that his adams apple raised up and it made a "hollow" point on his neck so you will know that he really sang the high notes 😉 He was trained classically and have taken music and vocal lessons ever since he was 5 😁 Btw that last part I think it was a glitch from the video when it was uploaded 😊

Currently his range (so far from a multitude of his live international performances) is six octaves from F2 to a sustained D8. I don't believe that for a second. They didn't just invite him not knowing what he sounds like. That's the narrative they are using to raise the status and awareness of their competition. They need some kind of ace in the hole. This year it was Jessie J. They even did a dramatic intro bit on how to raise the stakes this year. However, she was pretty much known to be the top dog, not the surprise hit. Wonder who it's going to be in 2019...

Oh his voice is just out of this world. When he's at his best condition, his voice can be mistaken as autotune or electronic stuffs. You are right, I heard the same 3 glitches in the ending, it is on all the standalone videos of this song but it is not on the full 1st Episode video. I was originaly thinking the battery on the microphone was low and was missing packets until I seen the full episode.

Yeah, it's a video glitch and you see his arm movement glitch/ stutter too. As for the earlier instance, other coaches mention having to train to relax the area totally to get the best sound out, so Dimash is obviously very highly trained in getting the perfect sound. If you strain there, you strangle your sound, so he's always efficient on those notes.

Dimash never fails to make me very emotional. First time I heard him I cried my eyes out. He connects to the very core of the human condition. You don't even need to know the words to be touched, to feel he expressed how you feel, how you have been in the story and feelings the song conveys.

Welcome to Dimash :) More please. This is just a hint of what he can do. 6+ octave range. One concert he hits a D8. By the way I saw him sing this song live in Los Angeles - front row center, maybe 5 feet away. It was a last minute thing at a small venue (the Saban) for a Kazahk cultural event. No special lights, music on tape. He has insane vocal control. The beauty of it left me breathless

Thanks for this, love hearing opinions from people who know what they are saying and who give their honest opinions respecting the singer and not being aggressive. It is a on going debate if the producers of this show use something to make the tv shows sound flawless and if it is, that is annoying because Dimash does not need it! Thanks for sharing. I have several friends which have been on singing show contests, and they have phenomenal voices, yet the producers still use pitch correction unfortunately. I was amazed a few years ago when I first started noticing it. Even to the extent that they used it on the initial audition performance! But yeah, obviously you can tell a singer's ability, even with the pitch correction. Pitch correction is not complete magic haha, it can't disguise a bad singer's voice.

It's possible that certain aspects of this video were edited in production to correct any minor pitch issues, but believe me when i say he can sing this 100% live. He has hit that first F#5 in several live performances of this song that are completely unedited (some are fan recorded). Based on all of his performances of this song, the only thing that might have been heavily edited was his transition after the belted B4, as that sounds a bit more "screamy" in many of his other live performances. But trust me: he is 100% the real deal, and he can do way more than what he did in this video. You should keep reacting to all of the episodes from The Singer and I suggest his Bastau performances too. He is amazing and one of the best vocalists in the world, if not the absolute best.

Hi, Brilliant constructive reaction to Dimash. You may be right because even Dimash himself says he is aware that they do tweek the final sound that goes out on live TV, but remember the audience and their reactions are what they are hearing in the studio live. This is borne out by listening to some content of his many live concerts he has done since the Singer competition. I would love to see your reactions on his other "Singer" performances Ep 2 thro Ep 13 (he wasn't in ep11 as he was already thro to finals) am sure you will enjoy them, he always tried to pick unusual songs week by week and even took on "Uptown Funk" when they had the crazy fun week ep5. My personal favourite ((very hard to choose!) is ep4 "Late Autumn". 👌🎼👍👍

This is his first song on this show, no one heard of him before.. They are hearing him for the first time.. Amazing.. He has been doing this since the age o five.. He sings and do things his way.. Doing this outdoors was a horrible idea. The background noises were extremely annoying and really detracted from the song. I also prefer your reactions where you don't talk over the song and interrupt. The sound at the end that you referred to is a glitch that only occurs in this particular recording. If you listen to the same performance on the same show in a different recording, you won't hear that sound.

that last weird sound is glitch, because you watching from duplicate Video by someone else. check on the official web where more clear: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qYCZZKJoqsucqqc or watch when he sing on LA, it was by fancam so you dont need to worry about sound editing kzbin.info/www/bejne/gqHMnKltaLWcqaM he just sound as good but with better pronunciation. he sing on French btw

This kid's amazing and his voice its real,he has been singing since the age of 4,and came from a family of singers,and musiciens..The great thing,about Dimash,is the he was born with that kind of voice,just like Mascellito Pomoy..Its well known that most Philipino people are able to do dual voices.That's just who they are,,,

Merci pour ta réaction, Dimash n'utilise aucun "subterfuges" techniques, c'est un vrai professionnel, il a trop de respect pour son auditoire pour cela. D'autres analyses ont été faites, son talent incroyable a fait douter d'autres coach vocaux mais après vérification, ils n'ont pu que constater l'incroyable! peux tu faire d'autres réactions ? This guy has been singing since he's 2 years old. He's extraordinary swimmer, which helped with the breathing he needs to sing. His parents sing opera. This is the real deal.... Dimash is amazing..

I was watching the French TV..& the widow of the original singer was interviewed..he died young in a helicopter accident..France mourned.. why this song is so special to them.. the Widow was so moved hearing Dimash.. said he got the emotions/ the tone the lot.

I hate when people with untrained ears get overly offended and defensive when it comes to Dimash! He's my favorite singer of all time but I'm not so naive to say there is no post editing on the singer, cause unfortunately there is. Sohyang as well. I saw her performance of I Have Nothing from a fan cam and you could hear the difference from the one the show posted. However it was still incredible and honestly didn't need the edits. Never once did this man say Dimash is not a good singer, that he wanted the effects, or even that he needs them to hit the notes, so calm down people!! On a more positive note though there are plenty of truly live and unedited videos of Dimash out there to showcase how truly talented he is and that he doesn't NEED the effects THE SHOW puts on the performances!

I think by now you probably regret calling his voice "fake" - for ordinary people like you who can only comment on others' talents it's probably impossible to believe in the raw talent like Dimash, but his talent is one and only - unique, impossible to replicate!
