He was 22 years old at the time, the youngest and only foreigner in the competition. Each contestant sang 13 songs. Dimash got a great 2nd place in the competition but won 1st place in the hearts of the Chinese people. They still adore him, as do thousands upon thousands around the world. Because he has the whole package. Huge singing talent, he has a heart of gold, modest humble altruist treats his fans as family members we are very dear to him therefor he calls us "Dears". Congratulations, you just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He’s from Kazakhstan, sings in 15 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin), plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in musicology. He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 6-8 octave range (depending on who you ask) has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble man. His mother is an opera singer and his father is a singer and producer. This particular performance was part of Dimash’s digital show he created for his fans during Covid . The tickets were $10 for a 2 hour concert!!! Dimash is quickly rising to worldwide fame and has millions of fans. 2 weeks ago, he gave a concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan (his home country), there were 35,000 people there, from 68 countries. Dimash was discovered on the world stage from a Chinese contest called “I am Singer” in 2017; he was already well known in Kazakhstan and neighboring countries, but that show made him an overnight sensation with this same song. Thanks for your wonderful reaction. Dimash is in a league of his own, he mixes many different genres into his songs. He can sing classical, pop, folk, jazz,and rap too. Ivy been listening to him for over five years and he just keeps getting better and better over time. Seen him live in New York City at the Barclay Center back in 2019. It was his first solo concert in America. It was absolutely amazing. Please continue to listen to more performances by this amazing young man. Lots of folks will recommend Dimash's latest masterpiece The Story of One Sky. I say wait until you have a few more videos under your belt before you tackle that one. I highly recommend Stranger, and Ikanaide. He also does an original vocalise called Ave Maria written especially for him by the famous Russian composer/producer Igor Kutroy, who came out of retirement just to work with Dimash. Together they have created an impressive body of work including Passione, by the way, inspired by Dante's Inferno. But that doesn't even begin to cover the genre breaking videos, concert performances, movie music and mini-movies produced by Dimash. He is absolutely like no other you have ever encountered. Opera, pop, R&B, jazz riffs, rap, theatre - in a dozen languages, calls to dolphins, angels, aliens - you never know what's next with Dimash.

Welcome to the world of Dimash! Any of his songs are great to react to. I will agree with the person who suggested that you watch several others before doing "The Story of One Sky". It shows almost all of his vocal range and many styles of singing and it's more fun to discover them one by one and stretch out the enjoyment. "One Sky" isn't exactly an "enjoyable" video due to its content but it's beautifully acted and sung. Oh, Dimash's songs are often blocked by KZbin so many reactors put words of some sort over them. It's very random. Some show them full screen and never get blocked. Others are blocked after only a couple tries. I've been told it's not Dimash blocking them, it's some KZbin algorithm or something. You probably know more about this than I do!

Dimash started his vocal training at age 5 years old. He never missed a class he has total control of his voice. He still trains his voice. Depending on who is ask at this point he has 7 octaves plus 2 half notes to 8 octaves plus 2 half notes. Either way no one has as much control vocally. Also he sings all genres. He mixes them together in each song in such a smooth sound you hardly notice you have just listened to Opera, Pop, Rock, jazz, and folk. A great example of this ability is Sinful Passion with English subtitles very deep lyrics.

He worked on that composition für three years. BUT, please do yourself a favor and slow down. I strongly advice you to watch this especially MV only after you’ve heard/seen some of Dimash’s other songs. He has so many beautyful „older“ songs that will blow your mind. He’s getting better and better. This MV left even the most longtime fans speechless. But it is still much too early for that. Please, you’re in no hurry. Your journey has just begun. Enjoy it. Please react to Sinful Passion next. And watch the videos till the end and you will see how kind and lovely he is. And I always recommend turning on the subtitles, if available. The gentleman at the end you see standing and clapping is a famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. He has come out of retirement to work with Dimash. True masterpieces were created. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship. These last three songs are mind-blowing and will leave you speechless. I promise. Dimash has sung many songs in Mandarin as he lived there for about 3 or so years after becoming a huge superstar there when he performed on China's show called I Am Singer (or Singer). He came in second only because he was a "foreigner". A beautiful song he sang on that show was Autumn Strong in Chinese. He later sang it in Japanese, which was the original language of it and was called Ikanide. It's also beautiful. Hope you do lots more of Dimash.

So what can we say about someone who has a 7 octave voice ?! Usually, everyone (including the greatest singers) has a specific voice timbre, its type, range and vocal accessories. In men, the high voice is the tenor, the lower is the baritone, and the low is the bass. For women - by analogy: soprano, mezzo-soprano, alto, contralto, etc. Is it possible if someone could recreate all these voices? (...) No it is not possible! Only Dimash is capable of this! There is a concept in music called imitation, incl. a girl who has an alto voice imitates the mezzo-soprano, borrows it and raises it higher. But that's not her voice. The amazing thing about Dimasha is that we only hear his natural, authentic voice which makes several people sing a song at once, but it's actually the voice of one person. Dimash does not imitate the soprano (...) In both cases, he has a truly masculine and feminine voice with a full range. Even more mysterious and amazing is how, in the same song, Dimash switches from one vocal technique to another and does it so often and smoothly that it does not tire your hearing, it happens so smoothly that even a computer cannot do it. Each vocal technique takes years of training, years of hard work! His incredible love for music and perfecting himself to perfection. Dimash has peaked (???🤔 ... we haven't heard everything yet) of technical quality. Every singer's dream is to be able to carry out all the intentions of the voices, all these vocal nuances.Dimash feels very safe, confident in his abilities, is technically very well trained and is very good at what he does.👍 He is a complete singer and an incredibly captivating showman! You mentioned Dante's Inferno, watch Dimash "Passione", written by Master Composer "Igor Krutoy, who came out of retirement to write for Dimash. I recommend that you also watch Guides to Dimash on YT.. LiLaSi .... For people who are new to Dimash, love his music, but do not know about him yet. Dimash is not just a marvelous performer. He put the word "Gentleman" back in the dictionary.

If there was an award for BEST ALL AROUND HUMAN on the PLANET. I would vote for him. I've been looking for 2 years trying to figure out one tiny thing wrong or slightly off. I've spent a lot of time; it's embarrassing. 😵‍💫 My brain is trying to figure out if he qualifies for the actual planet award program I mentioned.👽... Bienvenido al planeta Dimash! El genera tanto placer al escucharlo que es adictivo! Es el mejor cantante e intérprete de este siglo, tenemos suerte de estar en este tiempo para poder escucharlo! Hijo de una soprano y un cantante pop famoso en Kazajistán, tiene oído absoluto, estudia música y canto desde los 5 años, se graduó en canto lírico y contemporáneo (le ofrecieron cantar como tenor en la ópera Astana, pero prefirió hacer carrera como cantante popular), tiene un máster en composición musical, está haciendo un doctorado en musicología, multi instrumentista (toca 8 instrumentos a la perfección), canta en 13 idiomas y te llega directo al alma en cualquiera de ellos, su registro llega a más de 7 octavas!
