You can bet that Woodson’s going to clean house after this..

I’ve noticed that teams these days just don’t seem to have the mental toughness and consistency to grind out wins night in and night out that the good teams of old had. I’m wondering if it’s because we’re in the age of social media now, and if that has something to do with it? Players hearing how great they are after sweeping a really good Purdue team may think they don’t have to work as hard preparing for the next team. Bob Knight used to shield his players from the press, especially come Tournament time - they NEVER got the feeling they were the best until they won it all. But there’s no way to shield players from social media these days. Just a thought.

In all fairness, Iowa was due for a good road win and seem to have Indianas number over the last few seasons. Iowa have looked terrible on the road all year...almost like 2 different teams, so it seems they were due for a good one. Also IU coming off a good win like Purdue the week before always makes the next one a potential trap game like this. It wouldnt be the first time a good team under performed in its next game.

A team like Iowa that spreads the floor , cuts great , and can shoot, has an NBA talent wing and a good point is poison to IU. There are a lot of those out there. IU is just lacking for defense on the wing. Banks though shows some potential. At least to me.

Don't know what TJD was laughing about on the bench, but not a good look....

I was thinking the same. I wonder if Coach saw that?

Mike's not a happy camper. And rightly so. IU played like they didn't care.

Which team will we see in the tournament, the one in Lafayette or the one that got blown out on their home floor? I have to say they looked flatter than a snake turd in a wagon track 😔

mike your bench is really bad. put x on the floor immediately. these guys are so tired because they barely get rest. We can't bench fino and trayce at the same time. Especially when you are crawling back in the game. How about running a zone defense on occassion.

Woodshed performance by Iowa. If you let them get hot from 3 they’ll beat anyone in the country. Just no defense tonight I don’t get it.

Woodson don't keep saying you saw the same game I did- that's BS brother - they're asking legit questions and you blew them off with same comment- get in your players ass and stay off the reporters - Why do that? Also why day off Coach Knight would have their asses running steps of the gym tonight and Wednesday after that performance...come on man

This is the Woodson who has a Jones for McCaffery? What a personable cuss he is ...

Coach Woodson was seething. IU just gave away what they worked so hard to get by sweeping Purdue. And not really much to say, anyway. The less time sitting there answering inane reporter questions, the better. IU team just read too many hosanna's on social media after sweeping Purdue and thought Iowa would be a lot easier to beat. No team is easy to beat in the Big Ten, especially Iowa. And Michigan. Hopefully, this humiliation will wake them up for Michigan. Not meaning to take anything away from Iowa. They have a good team, good coach, and they came ready to play. Not many opponents can win in Bloomington, let alone blow out the home team. Iowa's comeback against MSU is one for the record books. They were really psyched up after that. IU should have been, too. But they apparently thought they could relax a bit for Iowa - bad decision!

@@Widdermaker Good points- as a leader sometimes you have to take those questions - it's called ACCOUNTABILITY- Re-direct your frustrations to self reflection and your players- not the media- He's Head Coach - it's on him, staff, and players - giving them the next day off is smart? No way Coach Knight would had their butts running steps Assembly Hall
