Thank you! Hope the drills help you

Great drill, coach! I can totally appreciate drills that have quantitative data. Every player thinks they can shoot; drills like this give you and them results to see if they are ahot takers or shot makers. Always enjoy your content! -International school in Taiwan

Good drill, just not for a lot of players, too many can stand around

What have you found to be good scores at different age groups? Looks like 22-25 shot attempts on average?
@CoachAshworth2 ай бұрын
@@JayOcchiogrosso yes 23-25 shots it’s usually the range of players are working hard. I’d say good shooters should consistently be above 60%. Around 50% is average. Anything below 40% is a major indicator for needed improvement. It’s important to track multiple rounds and get data over different days. Any kid can have a good or bad round, but over time the numbers will average themselves out and you’ll see who consistently are the better shooters. Hope this helps

@@CoachAshworth Thanks! I have 11 year old girls, ran this both practices since I saw this and its been great. Move the cones in about 2 feet at every spot so that they have a chance. Our best shooters are in the 30-35% range so far but look forward to tracking this over the winter season.

@@JayOcchiogrosso Yes, always adjust according to your team and players. 11 year old girls can move closer and also may get less shot attempts in 55 seconds. Once they get accustomed to the drill they will improve and move faster.

That's a great drill. I coach a u17 boys team and am always looking at ways to fill 90 minutes but keep the boys from being bored. At this age, they really just want to scrimmage but this will give them a different way to compete.

I love this, but I feel like its too much standing around for the rest of the players

We are just demonstrating the drill here, that’s why there’s kids watching. We would normally be split into 6 baskets and shoot in smaller groups. It’s best when you have 3 players to a basket.
