Today we are going to talk about the how something that seems unrelated can have a massive impact on your club path, what is that you ask? THE CLUB FACE! And more specifically, your club face at the top of the backswing.
The correlation between your club face at the top position and your club path coming down is very significant, which we are going to use to our advantage by fixing the root cause which can either be GRIP, or a POOR TAKE AWAY.

My golf career is marked by a trajectory from a skilled amateur to a seasoned professional, competing on the LPGA/SYMETRA Tour. During my amateur days, I attended IMG Academies, training under the close guidance of the world's best Leadbetter instructors. I continued to thrive while playing Division 1 golf at the University of Central Florida, holding the captain's title throughout my senior year. After finishing my college career, I went straight to LPGA Q-school, where I secured my tour card for the LPGA/SYMETRA Tour. During my rookie year, I joined the cast of the popular Golf Channel Show "Big Break," showcasing my competitive skills on national television. During my professional playing career, I was always drawn toward the technical intricacies of the golf swing, often helping my friends and fellow players improve their swings.

The waterfall visualization tip is a game changer when I self-compare starting my backswing with an open face versus a closed face with right palm facing the ground at 9 o’clock. Working on this in my house now where my new goal is to keep my floor dry in the midst of several dry run swings. Pun intended.😎

Great simple explanation. Any tips for a mid-singles hcp who has had the club face too shut and when trying to get more neutral they get slicy and have started missing both ways? That's me! Finding that neutral middle ground is proving difficult. I can get the face too closed and too delofted, or I can open it into slice city, but can't seem to find neutral. I've felt like I am walking a tight rope when playing for the last few months.😅 Maybe it is my flexible wrists!

It is amusing when coaches say that your body ‘knows’ that the club face is open or closed or whatever and tries to fix it. My body senses nothing. Maybe her body does, though, and she projects that assumption.
