ABOUT THE VOICE
The four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series "The Voice" returns as Queen of Country Reba McEntire claims her red chair alongside last season's champ, Niall Horan, and returning superstar coaches John Legend and Gwen Stefani as they vie to discover and coach the next singing phenomenon.
The show's innovative format features five stages of competition: Blind Auditions, Battle Rounds, Knockouts, Playoffs and Live Performance Shows.
This season, the block returns to the Blind Auditions, and during Battles, each coach will have two steals to use. The Three-Way Knockouts are also back. This time, however, artists will select their own songs to perform.
Once the Live Performance Shows begin, the top artists will compete against each other weekly during a live broadcast. This time, the television audience will vote to save their favorite artists. In the end, one artist will be named "The Voice" and receive the grand prize of a recording contract.

it's actually weirder to not be able to sing than it is to be able to sing. We are primates. Singing is how we spent millions of years going about the business of staying alive and procreating. What these shows are selling isn't talent. It's the reaction of the audience and the celebrities to the character development that keeps people watching. Wow! At 6:30-6:31 minutes into the video, the sound of Mara's deep tone was absolutely a sound that no words can describe. I had to listen to it over and over ... the sound was such a beautiful tone ...a magical tone to one's ear. She was singing, I Give You All, All..of me and Niall was right there walking towards her...was just perfection. It was like a love story captured in 2 seconds! That is what beautiful music can do, it can give others the imagination to feel and dream in an instant. Her soft low tones are just the Best!
