One of the best dribble moves to go downhill and can be used in a lot of situations. 1v1, transition, Pick&Roll. It’s also have a lot of counter moves and easy to learn and utilize in game.

Imo this is the most important basketball move ever. If you always get beat going one direction you can switch directions with this move. I think this'll work great on squared up defenders.

@@lucamacchiavello8502 I already made one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJaXZZSvgtyCh6s It's about the spin finish (when you pick up the spin dribble right into a layup jumping off 2 feet). That's the only spin move I teach my players - use a behind the back dribble instead when far away from the basket.

Ik this is not the type of video u normally post in ur channel, but if there was a way u could talk abt actions/plays that we could run in pickup or amateur league type ball I think it would be cool. I haven’t seen anyone else do something similar and I think a lot of us who appreciate ball movement and “fundamental” basketball could benefit👀
@CoachFrikki
@CoachFrikki 3 жыл бұрын
Great suggestion. Been thinking about making something like that - basic actions that you can run without having practiced them. 2 man, 3 man and 4 man actions that can be called with simple hand signals and communication.

@@CoachFrikki even basic concepts like cuts and off ball movement would be really cool. I feel like pickup games could be a lot more fun if everyone understood them!

Some of these are ok, some are flagrant carries. The way Booker, Tatum and Levine do it, it’s like 2 carries in one move. Look at Booker’s at 0:34. The ball actually comes up on the way across his body. How could that happen? Watch the defender at 4:58. He gets up on his toes to defend the shot when the ball carrier (see what I did there?) puts his hand under the ball to begin a shooting motion. It’s like watching Harden’s defender jump after 2 steps and the refs look at ticket sales numbers while he takes another. Great D! Blind refs. Where is the game going? Do we really need 200 to 199 final scores? Give the defenders a fair chance.

Any advice to become a quicker point guard
@CoachFrikki
@CoachFrikki 3 жыл бұрын
Simply playing more basketball is the best (and most fun) way to become quicker. Play as hard as you can, go for every loose ball and rebound while guarding the quickest player on the other team and pick him up full court. 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, 5v5, half court, full court, against better competition, against worse competition. Simply playing endless basketball will solve most of your problems. Doing full speed dribbling moves is also great. Focus on changes of direction, snatch backs, counters and deceptive fakes.
