This type of content is amazing! The bit around 41 minutes where Champ shows Chris how to deal with a specific scenario / interaction is hilarious, Chris literally losing his mind thanks to the knowledge sharing from Champ. I wish there was more content like this out there for fighting games. Amazing to watch and learn with two pros!

F Champ has such a great mind for fighting games. holy crap. I'm still main'ing Blanka until Bison comes out (old SF4 main) I'd love to see you do something like this with each member of the cast and a pro player talking about their character and tech. some good content there.

@@haysan32It’s because he has a history of saying or doing cancellable things. The most recent was posting a picture of a piece of watermelon and captioning it with “Watermelon lives matter” around the apex of the BLM movement. Capcom banned him “indefinitely” over it. Cancel culture is absolute trash (for the most part).

Learning Dhalsim of all characters to counter chun li as KEN? Its absurd, he wont feel the pain now, but thousands of hours down the line, my god. And at the moment Fchamp calls him on that, in a respectful manner, he chew him up like that? nah, this guy Tatarian, i dunno...

I respect FChamp making his point across by choosing a solid character. Chris T doesn't get the logic apsect of it. Instead, he is sugarcoating the truth by making excuses, simply stating picking counter characters to overcome the matchup when the main problem is you. It's skill isssue, not the characters. Characters tools are always going to be the same. The game doesn't change unless you're the player who is in control of the character playstyle. Christ T doesn't grow up playing fighting games in the arcade as much we OGs has in the early 90s.

The conversation at 8:30-10:30 it seems like Chris just always wants an easy solution. Sure I agree at those time frame which is on the SF4 days the counter picking is more viable, but it's not like now. SF6 is pretty much balanced compared to the older titles. There aren't 7-3 or 8-2 matches like it was in the past. It's more on the realm of 6-4s now and your character can always find a way to win. For grapplers you can def make an argument for having 7-3's in this game, but all in all the game is in a good state. You can't say your char which is KEN, has no answers to anything when he def has the tools that Champ showed in this video. At around the midpoint onwards of the video it seems like Chris is actually understanding what Champ is trying to point out.

That’s the point of the session. Sometimes it takes time to get a real breakthrough. Similar to therapy. It’s awesome that he understood so quickly for other people they may not or it might take a lot longer.

It sounded like he was trying to downplay Ken. Kinda funny that FChamp just keeps reminding him that Ken is elite 😅
@mustang123453 ай бұрын
Yeah despit talking abour wanting to learn and all I had the same feeling of him downplaying Ken... Good thing Fchamp reminding him respectfuly that Ken is super strong (even if felt at some point that Fchamp was a little annoyed by the complaint). I mean if Ken wasn't strong, no chance Tokido would play him or stick with him 😂

People that play top tier all the time don’t know how good their characters really are. I didn’t know how good Luke was until I switched to a new main then I understood what people were going through 😂

By far. At the very least, FChamp has made ChrisT to be more introspective of his approach to the game.

Really like FChamp mindset always trying to find solution instead of complaining. I think Chris should really play a little bit of Chun-Li himself to see her flaws and feeling less hopeless.

Me watching and listening to Fchamp and ChrisT talk about SF6 and fighting game theory/mechanics is the same as me listening to my two math major friends talk about higher level mathematics. They say "Ken and Chun-Li," and I go, "Ah! I know that, just like my friends saying, "3 and 4." Everything else is just over my head.

I just started listening to this long video, im literally 5 minutes into it; but i had to say, Chris Ts way of thinking, just based off what he said in the first 5 minutes, is sadly the way most people think. Its lazy. He is truly being sincere and asking for advice. But his mindset is somewhat lazy. Or maybe he just sucks at thinking out of the box and upgrading his playstyle on his own. He wants his character to do EVERYTHING. THAT IS NOT HOW ANY GAME WITH ARCHETYPES EVER WORKS. You have strong points. You have weak points. You have counter play. There will always be another way to beat something. But he doesnt want that. He wants to beat and control everything like some type of god with Omnipresence…just covering everything all over. NO. This is a fighting game, and most of all this is player vs player. In a lot of cases its as small/large of a chance as playing Rock Paper Scissors or simply flipping a coin. Man, the error im from enjoyed labbing and learning how to optimize to take bad matchups and flip them on their heads. Now everyone is like Chris T and just doesnt want to try as hard. Understandably when playing for money; you want the best advantage you can get. But overall all the pride and gratification factor of outplaying your opponent should always be there. Only wanting to win because your matchup just 99% beats your opponents pick is a weird ass mindset for a competitive player with any type of self-respect for their own player skill. Thats why he sounded so sad when referring back to his bouts with Snake, best Ken vs Best Gief and was still losing to Gief. His player skill was and is still lacking. Im ass, so i can recognize another player like Chris T who lacking in skill.
