This video was so inspiring, I literally paused it half way through and went for a ride, mainly to try out a rock roll on a trail behind my home.

This has been the hardest thing for me to learn. That tall, strong position, is so different than what we were taught growing up. It's an amazing feeling when you do it on a steep slab and you can instantly feel the change in grip. Thanks for this video Yoann and Nicole!!

Mtb geometry has changed so much in the last decade. Back in the day, getting your weight far back was almost a necessity on steeps of this magnitude otherwise an otb was guaranteed. Now that even the shortest travel bikes have slacked out, proper body position and keeping your mass strong and centered, is key to proper braking control and stability.

Really interesting what you said about position on modern geometry bikes.... Never thought about it. But I always had sour legs after a day in the bike park on my old bike because I squatted allday long...

Yoann you represent what coaching should always look like. Replicate the expectation, recognize often and always have fun. The fact you took the time to recognize the young ones is even more evidence. Truly an ambassador to the sport and people. Nicole already has made skills so to see her take in a dramatic change and recognize the impact is a testament to her as a student. Look forward to seeing more.

I'm not gunna lie. I may have bought a Guerrilla Gravity bike because Yoann rides with them. I'm not one to admit I'm influenced by this kind of stuff but if a cool dude like Yoann can ride the rails of this bike then it's always going to be more bike than I'm capable of. Keep up the good work man! Love watching your content.

Also I love how supportive he is to all the other riders. You can tell dude's confident in his skill when he's supporting all the other riders from other camps.

Some great advice here, I have moved from a short reach Trek remedy to a long Ibis Ripmo and I am really experiencing that wandering front wheel sensation. I will definitely be trying that stronger taller stance.
