Dear Coach, Definitely I will make backhand smash as well backhand clear as soon even it's much difficult to do. It needs lots of practice and concentration, I am stuck to generate the power to my racquet while using these shots. Thank you coach for the video and great explanation. This will help me to do it.

Firstly , Mam, I would like to thank you for putting the effort and helping us to better our game. You always teach and elaborate everything so well and that shows you are a good teacher .Keep up the good work and you are beautiful 😊 That being said , being a guy who have viewed countless backhand tutorials to learn and still not being able to do it correctly, has made me realise that, the common issue with us is the arm movement after we turn our body towards to hit the shuttle. Most of us, swing it wrong and if you could address this one it would complement this tutorial. Like the space between hitting arm and body, the swing from left side and how and when to supinate the arm and how elbow is having a role. I am not able to contact the shuttle correctly and that is where it goes wrong for me. I hope if you could address this issue, It would help a lot of us. Thanks once again

Many thanks coach for another informative video. It is beneficial to see two different students playing the shot, I like to really focus on their footwork to see how the get into position speedily. It is extremely helpful to have captions on the screen to reinforce the key aspects. Do people who do not have a strong backhand instead play a around the head shot and if so what are the drawbacks of playing this rather than a backhand? Once again many thanks for your time and commitment to sharing your invaluable knowledge.
@CoachKennieAsuncion4 жыл бұрын
Thanks D K... i would always prefer around the head shot simply because its stronger and you have full view of your opponent so you can make last minute changes as opposed to a backhand where your body is half turned to the back so you are more or less hitting back with your instinct as to where you want to place your shots. But we still have to practice that backhand for the times we are pushed in that position... thank you! 😁🏸😁🏸

Thanks very much for the requested shot. Can we put the thumb at the flat side to hit it cross court? An observation on your students during the video: they need to pay attention on their footwork during the drills. It looks like they're not into it at all. I see kids in japan having more consistency on their practice.
@CoachKennieAsuncion4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your feedback... regarding the thumb on the flat surface, that is usually used when shots are lower backhand not the high clear/smash for backhand but i do understand that sometimes its so fast and we dont think and our grip just moves and as long as you can hit it back comfortably then thats ok... 🏸😁

Rackets are a personal feel for me so i would rather hold on to a model i fancy and see if i like the feel. It doesnt have to be any specific model. I’d go for regular priced rackets especially if you are only trying out badminton. But i would go with a brand such as Yonex which is reputable afterall they have many designs and many price range. 😁🏸
