I like the mesh but I prover it when the F run a (slow) Wheel and the R always run a post. (And the F is the 3rd WR by the 3×1). Because in the two back and the 3×1 you have a pick on the Backers who cover the slots and a Post-Wheel Concept on the backside of the mesh. In 2×2 the run still a (slow) Wheel and post because of the advantege of the pick. And the read is always pick Post Wheel mesh. Sorry for my bad Englisch and the writing mistakes but I am from Germany. Thanks for teaching us/me youre idea from the spread offense from Germany

Mesh wheel is a nasty tag to use once your kids understand mesh.
@user-tl4vf8ix2h5 жыл бұрын
@@CoachMcKie yes this is the different you work with young kids, but grown up with football and we work with teenagers and mens nur who never have contect befor with football. So we like to use the experentce WR to tun the Post Wheel and teaching the new WR the mesh concept. But here in Germany we are about 5 or more years behind. You can see at the "new " trend in the GFL (the Divioson 1 of Germany) the no hudl offense of Chip Kelly

Hey Coach, I know this video is from 4 years ago, but have you posted any cut up’s of mesh vs man where the guys carry up the hash since you’ve posted this? I’m having a hard time visualizing that part of the concept. I love the video and the breakdown of the progression!

Good stuff, just curious on the 3 3 stack if Backers are taught to hit any crossers have you had any issues with this? The backside out would be open quick in typical cover 3 look just have to watch for them switching to C2 on you. Just joined your channel, u do a great job

Hi coach, thanks for putting this together. I’m having one hell of a time reading The Perfect Pass right now and I’m at the part where Mumme realizes that he always wants the left to right aspect of the formation rather than mirroring. Quick question, what is that program you’re using to diagram the play? I’m starting off right now and using pen and paper. Thanks!

I think this video is faultless in showing how easy n simple running the air raid offense is n can be. Same tags/routes, same reads, same responsibilities, same results...just out of different formations.

i've been running mesh for 20+ years all the way back to joe gibbs bunch package days and will actually will cross the F & R in your version of the concept. i call those positions #1(Z) #2(H) #3(Y) we will mesh anytime and everywhere. spot pass shake route, mesh fade option. Dan Robinson is a friend of mine. i've been in a room with Andrew Coverdale, Robinson, Mike Emmendorfer. The concept is endless. the zone read scheme adds a big dilemma for the fit and replace teams trying to defend hals version

Coach Mumme says he is trying to keep it the same as his Y-Stick and Y-Corner concepts...which are quick game concepts for him. That's why it is almost a catch and throw type of route.
