Love the Leach Mesh concepts. Very simple. Out of 3x1, we tag "wheel" for the RB to run the "wheel" route away from Trips.

That's why Leach is the freaking man!

It drove me crazy when I coached in college with the line having so many pass blocking schemes when I came from five man area, half zone half man with first uncovered man starting the slide, a six man slide pro with the back inserting backside of slide and then Sprint out. That is all I think you need. What is the QB read on the 3*1?

Coach what program do you find is the most user friendly to create your playbook or simply draw plays like you use on your videos?

I freaking love Coach Leach but not crazy about this version of mesh out of Ace for high school. I don’t like the 10 yard out as the #1 read. That’s a tough throw for most HS QBs in my opinion. I’ve also had issues with the LB covering the RB getting in that lane for the out. I’d be interested in hearing your thoughts.

I'm a fan of Coach Humme's version of mesh. I love how it is the same progression regardless of the formation.

I listened to Lincoln Riley speak about this. He runs them at 6 yards & will have his guys round if they are speedsters. If the QB struggles with arm strength then he will motion him tighter.

Hey Coach, I love your videos, converted 3 years ago from Veer to the Spread and your videos have helped a Ton, next year I am going to bring in some Air Raid, Quick question have you ever experimented with running Smoke Right ( Roll out Right) with Ace Mesh? It seems to me that F could get lost in the shuffle and find some grass in Man to Man

Coach. Great stuff. Can you talk about splits for the mesh.

I’ve always wondered, but never found the answer, what is the advantage of having Y on the ball?

Lol i use this stuff for madden great way to break down mesh thanks coach..i love air raid and they dont have playbooks for that so i use the hot routes once i watch your breakdowns..keeps the game fun and fresh once again thanks
@CoachMcKie5 жыл бұрын
I would do the same thing when I played madden.

Nacho Louis yeah I run a straight air raid lol. I just wish they sat in those zones like old NCAA would

I wish they brought back NCAA

The pass pro isnt hard to figure out if you can add and subtract. Do you package plays in say group of 3 and let qb choose based on teaching?

So the drill website is not working for air raid drills what is the link
@jimteahan64465 жыл бұрын
I don't think so-reads aren't correct. At 8:15 vs 2 deep you would never turn it upfield. The FS is waiting for you. If FB sees a blitzing LB after meshing he would either settle or continue running route. CB on play side is out chasing WR if he's running an out. Natural window. I'm also not sure you're correct on TB being the #3 read on some of these. WR's running out patterns on this seems a little strange. I'm pretty sure I've seen at least play side WR running Post to pull FS out of play, and then hit FB in window before he runs into the play side CB.

I do know this is the base way they run it. At least that’s what a coach with pretty good inside intel has told me. I also know Coach Leach uses a good amount of tags on Mesh. But that’s for leaving a comment coach. Love talking ball.

what software do you use to create a playbook?

So, QB reads softest coverage on the out routes to near mesh to presnap #1, to far mesh to check down to back?
@robertmosher74185 жыл бұрын
If in this case the out to the R is softest, it's a two progression read R to T?
@robertmosher74185 жыл бұрын
It makes sense because if you throw the wide route to the back, he is open. The only player who can cover the wide route is the corner. He is also the only one who can cover the out.
@CoachMcKie5 жыл бұрын
Yes sir. That's the progression
@coachray60195 жыл бұрын
What's the progression vs cover 2?
@CoachMcKie5 жыл бұрын
It’s still the same. The speed outs turn into corner routes

I'm a noob to all of this, so my question is going to seem very pedestrian. but what is a 2 by 2? Or a 3 by 1.
@danshane70352 жыл бұрын
2x2 is 2 wide recievers on each side. So twins on left and right. 3x1 is trips on one side and a lone wide reciever on the other side.
@big47402 жыл бұрын
@@danshane7035 ppreciate that response! After thinking about it a lil more, it seemed obvious that what it meant.

How does the RB know whether he is going RT or LT?
@CoachMcKie5 жыл бұрын
The back knows based on what the play is.
@nicolasbernardini34135 жыл бұрын
We never had tags for where to line up. Mostly when we would pass protect it doesn't really matter. It only matters when you have a route, but if that's the case its implied where you line up based on the play
@lucash58024 жыл бұрын
Why does the outside wrs ran a Speed out and not a normal Out?
@CoachMcKie4 жыл бұрын
Because it's the first read and it helps the QB get the ball out faster.
