These five tips are invaluable. For more advanced players I would add a loose arm and wrist to the list as #6. That's the difference between a solid serve and a real bomb. And for beginners not too easy to adapt without accidentally throwing away the racquet. Requires fresh overgrips as well.

Hi Ryan, I just left this message at your 3 years ago video clip. It is actual today, as it was 3 years ago. Thank you for your passion and work you are sharing with all of us. Thanks Ryan for the video. I am watching a handful of tennis trainers on youtube and I really appreciate your videos. I also re-watch your videos after practicing. I wish I had this mind I have now and your videos when I was younger. Anyway, it is good to learn from you all the steps in mastering the technique.

good tips Ryan I will add one more that helps me, lift up the tip of front foot - prevents foot fault and it helps me to time the leg drive better the same time I move my throwing hand up, the tip of the foot will fall down and legs will start to bend, I noticed thats what pros do, Fed is interesting cause he lifts not the tip but his heel slightly - its all also related to weight transfar -front-back-front --> helps with rhytm

Why is the first pronation showing the back of the racquet and the other one you showed targeting between two nets? There were two different pronations?

@@2MinuteTennis one seemed to hit the ball and as soon as the ball hit, you did the pronation. The other one you explained in the video, it is like getting the wrong side of the racquet towards the ball and then do the pronation and hit.

The reason I asked that question is bc people who write stuff like that won’t accept any answer you give them. They’ll make an excuse for why I’m wrong even though I showed them pros using the crossed arm technique. cmhtc69 isn’t interested in an answer, he wanted to write something that made me look like I couldn’t “show him one player who is crossing the left arm”.

I think you're probably the best online coach I have seen, and certainly my favourite, however I have what will probably be a very unpopular question for you. What do you think about the idea that 80% of players will never play a high enough level to bother using anything other than a waiter tray which is 1. extremely easy to learn compared to a continental grip, pronated serve. 2. extremely consistent and reliable. Those players could spend months trying to learn something that is extremely difficult, foregoing other improvements in their game and end up with a serve which is INFERIOR to a waiter tray, potentially leading to frustration and even quitting, especially at a younger age.
